The Adventures Abound season of Pokemon Go is gaining momentum and the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event has players brimming with excitement given all the featured Paldean debuts. Here’s all the info you need to know about the event, including encounters, Research, and more.

The new Season has arrived in Pokemon Go and Adventures Abound has players all around the world hunting for Pokemon originally discovered in the Paldea region.

The Ultra Unlock: Paldea event has brought even more Paldean creatures to Pokemon Go, so here’s everything you need to know about it, including dates, debuts, bonuses, Research, and more.

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event dates

The Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event will take place from Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 10 AM to Friday, September 15, 2023, at 8 PM (local time).

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event debuts

The following Pokemon originally discovered in the Paldea region will make their Pokemon Go debuts during the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event:

  • Nymble
  • Lokix
  • Pawmi
  • Pawmo
  • Pawmot
  • Bombirdier
  • Frigibax
  • Arctibax
  • Baxcalibur

Bombirdier has debuted in Pokemon Go alongside its shiny form, so be on the lookout for this Flying/Dark Pokemon during the event.

Trainers will be able to get Lokix by evolving Nymble with 50 Candy. Evolving Pawmi into Pawmo requires 25 Candy, but players need to spend 100 Candy and explore 25 km with Pawmo as Buddy to evolve it into Pawmot.

Lastly, players will need to spend 25 Frigibax Candy to evolve it into Arctibax, and then another 100 Candy to evolve Arctibax into Baxcalibur. Once the event ends, trainers will be able to get Frigibax from 10 km Eggs.

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event wild encounters

The following Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild during the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event in Pokemon Go:

  • Hoppip
  • Houndour
  • Buizel
  • Fletchling
  • Sprigatito
  • Fuecoco
  • Quaxly
  • Lechonk
  • Nymble
  • Pawmi
  • Frigibax

Hoppip, Houndour, Buizel, and Fletchling will have boosted shiny odds during the event, so keep an eye out for those species. Additionally, after Lechonk’s debut in the Paldean Adventure event, players will also be able to find this Pokemon in shiny form.

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event Raids

The Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event will feature Unown in Raids alongside a couple of special bosses. Here’s the full list of Raid bosses for the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event:

5-Star Raids

  • Kartana
  • Celesteela

Mega Raids

  • Mega Manectric

3-Star Raids

  • Turtonator
  • Kleavor
  • Bombirdier

1-Star Raids

  • Unown A
  • Unown D
  • Unown E
  • Unown L
  • Unown P

It’s important to note that Kartana will headline 5-Star Raids in the Northern Hemisphere from September 1 to September 8, while Celesteela will feature in Southern Hemisphere’s Raids during those dates. From September 8 to September 16, these Legendary Pokemon will swap Hemispheres so every player has the chance to catch them.

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event Eggs

The following Pokemon will hatch from 7 km Eggs during the Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event:

  • Sprigatito
  • Fuecoco
  • Quaxly
  • Lechonk

Lucky trainers might hatch a shiny Lechonk, so make sure you have Incubators ready for the event.

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event Timed & Field Research

Pokemon Go players will be able to tackle themed Field Research tasks alongside a free and a premium Timed Research during the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event.

Trainers that spin PokeStops during the event will get Field Research tasks they can complete to encounter Pawmi. Additionally, the free Timed Research from the A Paldean Adventure event will stay active, giving players the chance to get Lechonk.

On the other hand, the paid Timed Research titled ‘I’ve Got Your Back’ will be available for US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Trainers who complete this Research before Friday, September 15, 2023, at 8 PM (local time) will get the following rewards:

  • Two encounters with Pawmi
  • Pawmi Backpack avatar item
  • 3 Rare Candy
  • 1 Incubator
  • 10 Silver Pinap Berries
  • 921 Stardust
  • 9210 XP

Do note that the Pawmi Backpack avatar item will also be available to purchase in the in-game shop after the event ends.

Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event bonuses

These bonuses will be active during the Pokemon Go Ultra Unlock: Paldea event:

  • PokeStops may turn gold without a Golden Lure Module.
  • Roaming Form Gimmighoul won’t appear at Golden PokeStops if a Golden Lure Module wasn’t used, but treasure-hunting Trainers may still find Gimmighoul Coins when they spin the PokeStop.
  • 4x XP for catching Pokemon.
  • 4x Stardust for catching Pokemon.
