Lokix in Pokemon Go

Lokix the Grasshopper Pokemon is coming to Pokemon Go soon, and players are asking about its PvP and PvE performance, moveset, and its shiny availability. Here’s how to get Lokix in Pokemon Go, including its best moves, and more.

Pokemon Go is adding the Grasshopper Pokemon, Nymble, and its evolution Lokix to the game. With the upcoming Ultra Unlock: Paldea event, many new Pokemon are also making their debut as part of the Adventures Abound Season.

However, players want to know if Lokix is any good in Pokemon Go PvP/PvE and if they have the chance to get a shiny Lokix.

Here’s how to get Lokix in Pokemon Go, including evolution requirements, performance, stats, and its best moveset.

How to get Lokix in Pokemon Go

To get Lokix in Pokemon Go, you must catch Nymble, and then evolve it into Lokix by spending 50 Nymble Candy. It has a maximum of 2619 CP, a maximum attack stat of 199, and a maximum defense stat of 144.

Lokix is a Bug/Dark-type Pokemon, with a lot of interesting qualities, and a cool design. It made its debut in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as part of the 9th Generation of Paldean Pokemon.

Can Lokix be shiny in Pokemon Go?

No, shiny Lokix is not available in Pokemon Go. Just like the other Pokemon making their debut during the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event, Nymble and Lokix shiny versions won’t be available.

That doesn’t mean we won’t have a chance to get a shiny Lokix in the near future. We likely just need to wait for a Community Day event in order to see its debut in Pokemon Go.

Is Lokix good in Pokemon Go PvP?

No, Lokix is a below-average pick for Pokemon Go PvP for two reasons. Most Bug-type Pokemon are low down in the overall PvP ranking due to their many weaknesses. In addition, it doesn’t help at all that it has a Dark secondary type, adding weakness to Fairy-type moves.

Furthermore, its base HP pool is below average, with a minimum of 146 and a maximum of 159 at level 50. Lokix may find its limited uses in Great and Ultra League, but it’s definitely not a candidate for Master League.

Best Lokix Pokemon Go PvP moveset

The best moveset for Lokix in Pokemon Go PvP would be Sucker Punch as a Fast Move and Trailblaze as a Charged Move.

Trailblaze is a Grass-type Charged move with 65 Power, low energy cost, and a fast animation. It serves its purpose as a shield breaker.

Lokix in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Lokix is extremely fast and agile and enters Assault Mode as soon as it feels threatened.

Is Lokix good in Pokemon Go PvE?

Unfortunately, Lokix is not good for Pokemon Go PvE, as it has too many weaknesses. Bug Pokemon overall do not perform well in PvE. It has a maximum of 2619 CP, a maximum attack of 199, and a maximum defense of 144, being easily surpassed by other Bug-types like Genesect and Scizor.

Lokix is weak to Fairy, Bug, Flying, Fire, and Rock types, so it’s not a good option with many of the current Raid Battle Pokemon.

Best Lokix Pokemon Go PvE moveset

The best moveset for Lokix in Pokemon Go PvE is Sucker Punch as a Fast Move, and Bug Buzz as a Charged Move. With an average of 325 total damage output, it is definitely the best combo to have with this Pokemon.

Sucker Punch is a Dark-type Fast Move with 8 Damage, and Bug Buzz is a Bug-type Charged Move with a 50 energy cost and 120 damage output, which is pretty decent.
