Honkai Star Rail Honkai Star Rail has a long list of characters for players to build their team, and each new update introduces new allies with amazing abilities.

Version 2.0 Phase 2 has not only featured Sparkle and Jing Yuan as the boosted 5-Star characters in the Sparkling Splendor and Swirl of Heavenly Spear banners, but it has also included both Qingque and Hanya.

Hanya’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail explained

Hanya is a four-star Honkai Star Rail Physical element character in the Path of The Harmony. This means she’s a support character that focuses on applying buffs to allies to boost their abilities. Hanya is currently boosted in the second phase of update 1.5 in Argenti’s banner titled Thorns of Scented Crown.

Here are all of Hanya’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail:

• Oracle Brush (Basic ATK) – Deals Physical DMG to a single enemy.
• Samsara, Locked (Skill) – Deals Physical DMG to a single enemy, and also applies Burden to them. For every 2 Basic ATKs, Skills, or Ultimates allies use on an enemy with Burden, allies will immediately recover 1 Skill Point. Burden can only be active on the latest target it is applied to. Additionally, it will be dispelled automatically after allies recovers a Skill Point 2 times.
• Ten-Lords’ Decree, All Shall Obey (Ultimate) – Increases the SPD of a target ally by up to 21% of Hanya’s SPD. Additionally, increases the same target ally’s ATK by up to 64.8%. These effects last for 2 turns.
• Sanction (Talent) – When an ally uses a Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate on an enemy inflicted with Burden, the DMG dealt increases by up to 33% for 2 turns.
• Netherworld Judgment (Technique) – Immediately attacks the enemy. After entering battle, applies Burden equivalent to that applied by the Skill to a random enemy on the battlefield.

Like most support characters in Honkai Star Rail, you won’t need to focus on improving Hanya’s DMG output. Instead, you should try to enhance her SPD. This will allow Hanya to use her abilities more often, but will also improve the effect of her Ultimate. On the other hand, improving Hanya’s HP and DEF is another priority to ensure she stays in battle for longer.

Hanya is the only character that can apply Burden to enemies to recover Skill Points, which is one of the main reasons many players are trying to get her in HoYoverse’s RPG.

Best Relics for Hanya in Honkai Star Rail

Messenger Traversing Hackerspace

• Two-piece bonus: Increases SPD by 6%.
• Four-piece bonus: When the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally, SPD for all allies increases by 12% for 1 turn. This effect cannot be stacked.

Messenger Traversing Hackerspace is, by far, the best Relic set for Hanya in Honkai Star Rail. While the two-piece set only improves her SPD, the whole set also improves the effects of her Ultimate.

Longevous Disciple

• Two-piece bonus: Increases Max HP by 12%.
• Four-piece bonus: When the wearer is hit or has their HP consumed by an ally or themselves, their CRIT Rate increases by 8% for 2 turns and up to 2 stacks.

Alternatively, you can choose to combine Messenger Traversing Hackerspace with Longevous Disciple to only improve Hanya’s stats. Both options work great and ensure Hanya has a crucial role in battle.

Sadly, no other Relic set seems to be tailor-made for Hanya, so we recommend sticking to these two options.

Best Planar Ornament for Hanya in Honkai Star Rail

Fleet of the Ageless is a good Planar Ornament for Hanya in Honkai Star Rail. It increases her Max HP by 12%, and when her SPD reaches 120 or higher, all allies’ ATK increases by 8%. With this set, you can enhance Hanya’s HP while also adding more support capabilities to her kit.

On the other hand, Broken Keel works in a similar way. It increases the wearer’s Effect RES by 10%, and when the wearer’s Effect RES is at 30% or higher, all allies’ CRIT DMG increases by 10%. While you don’t actually care about Hanya’s Effect RES that much, increasing CRIT DMG for allies is an interesting strategy.

Best Light Cone for Hanya in Honkai Star Rail

But the Battle Isn’t Over

Bronya is one of the best characters in the Path of The Harmony in Honkai Star Rail, so it’s no surprise her signature Light Cone works so well with other supports like Hanya. But the Battle Isn’t Over increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by up to 18% and regenerates 1 Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally. This effect can be triggered after every 2 uses of the wearer’s Ultimate.

That’s extremely useful to pair with Hanya’s abilities, but that’s not all. Additionally, when the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals up to 50% more DMG for 1 turn. So, if you have the chance to get this powerful Light Cone, don’t hesitate.

Dance! Dance! Dance!

This Light Cone’s effect is much simpler but also works great with Hanya. With Dance! Dance! Dance!, when the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies’ actions are Advanced Forward by up to 24%. Since Hanya’s Ultimate increases her allies’ SPD and ATK, you’ll want them to take advantage of those buffs as soon as possible.

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds

Tingyun’s signature Light Cone is another viable alternative, although is extremely unpredictable. With this Light Cone, one of the following effects is applied randomly at the start of combat and whenever the wearer takes action:

• Increase all allies’ ATK by 10~20%
• Increase all allies’ CRIT DMG by 12~24%
• Increase all allies’ Energy Regeneration Rate by 6~12%.

It’s worth noting that the applied effect cannot be identical to the previous effect applied. Also, the effects are removed when the wearer is knocked down.

Best Honkai Star Rail teams for Hanya

Since Hanya is a support character in Honkai Star Rail, it’s best to pair her with at least a DPS and a healer. You can leave the fourth slot for a sub-DPS, a shielder, or another support character in the Path of The Nihility, so they can focus on weakening enemies for the DPS to finish off.

If you’re aiming for a free-to-play composition, you can pair Hanya with Natasha and Dan Heng. Hanya’s abilities will allow Dan Heng to deal more damage each turn thanks to the Skill Point recovery effect. Additionally, you can add a character in the Path of The Erudition to deal AoE DMG, or another support, like Yukong, to enhance Dan Heng even further.

To fully take advantage of Hanya’s abilities, it’s best to pair her with a character that uses many Skill Points in battle. Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae or Argenti can be your main DPS, while healers like Bailu, Luocha, or Huohuo can also work great. Tingyun, Bronya, or Silver Wolf can round the team up for a balanced gameplay.
