Honkai Star Rail gave players a glimpse of what is planned for the future with its version 1.4 update, but both the devs and players are already looking at what’s coming next. While many players are still enjoying events and trying to get new powerful characters, others are ready for the version 1.5 update.
Since the current banner is scheduled to end soon, HoYoverse revealed everything coming to Honkai Star Rail with the 1.5 update. Here’s everything you need to know about the next update, including its release date, new characters, events, and more.

Honkai Star Rail 1.5 release date & downtime
The Honkai Star Rail version 1.5 update titled “The Crepuscule Zone” will officially arrive on November 15. HoYoverse confirmed this information during a Special Program, so players should expect downtime to start at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM GMT and last for approximately 5 hours.
The current character banner will end on November 14, so players have until then to try to pull for Topaz and Guinaifen in the game.
How to preload version 1.5 of Honkai Star Rail
Honkai Star Rail players can preload the 1.5 update ahead of launch on PC and mobile devices. You need to follow these instructions to be ready when new content arrives:
PC
- Open the Honkai Star Rail launcher on your PC.
- Click the “Game Pre-Installation” button on the left side of the “Start Game” button.
- Click “Get Now” to start the download.
- You can still play the game while the content downloads.
Mobile (Android and iOS)
- Launch the game on your mobile device.
- Tap the “Resource Pre-Download” button in the bottom-right corner of the login screen.
- Wait until it finishes downloading to keep playing the game normally.
The download size is 8453 MB, so it is recommended to be connected to a Wi-Fi network during the process. It’s important to note that mobile players will still need to update the app when the new version goes live. PlayStation 5 players, on the other hand, just need to wait for the update to go live to get Honkai Star Rail’s latest version on November 15.
Honkai Star Rail 1.5 banners
HoYoverse confirmed that Huohuo and Argenti will get their own banners with the Honkai Star Rail version 1.5 update. These five-star characters were officially revealed by HoYoverse in October. Additionally, Hanya, a new four-star character, will also debut with the next update.
Huohuo is a five-star Wind element character in the Path of The Abundance, and her banner will also boost Dan Heng, Arlan, and Serval. Meanwhile, Argenti is a five-star Physical element character in the Path of The Erudition, and his banner will also boost Hanya, Lynx, and Asta. Hanya is a four-star Physical element character in the Path of The Harmony.
Honkai Star Rail 1.5 Light Cones
Honkai Star Rail players will be able to get three brand-new Light Cones thanks to update 1.5 of HoYoverse’s RPG. Additionally, Silver Wolf’s signature Light Cone, Incessant Rain, will also be boosted with the latest update.
Huohuo’s debut will bring the five-star Night of Fright Light Cone, while Argenti will debut alongside his own Light Cone called An Instant Before Gaze. Additionally, players will be able to earn a new four-star Abundance Light Cone called Hey, Over Here through a new event.

Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 12%. When any ally uses their Ultimate, the wearer restores HP for the ally currently with the lowest HP percentage by an amount equal to 10% of the healed ally’s Max HP. When the wearer provides healing for an ally, increases the healed ally’s ATK by 2.4%. This effect can stack up to 5 times and lasts for 2 turns.
Honkai Star Rail Trailblaze Continuance & Companion Mission
Honkai Star Rail’s main story will continue with the version 1.5 update that will bring a new mission titled A Foxian Tale of the Haunted. This spooky storyline will arrive a couple of weeks after Halloween and will task players with hunting demons in the Xianzhou Luofu. This new Trailblaze Continuance will feature Huohuo and her particular background and will give players the chance to earn enticing rewards.
On the other hand, Argenti will debut alongside his own Companion Mission, “Night of Universal Hallucinations.” Argenti is part of the Knight of Beauty, a mysterious order that worships a fallen Aeon. In the middle of spring cleaning duties, the Astral Express crew will meet these colorful characters.
Honkai Star Rail 1.5 events
Honkai Star Rail players can expect new events with the version 1.5 update, including a new edition of Gift of Odyssey to claim up to 10 Star Rail Special Passes. Additionally, HoYoverse revealed what events Trailblazers can look forward to:
A Foxian Tale of the Haunted
While Honkai Star Rail didn’t get spooky content for the Halloween season, it looks like a new event starring Huohuo will fix that in November. “With the Creation Furnace having burst apart, the heliobi sealed within have gone loose. The Ten-Lords Commission is commanded to eradicate these demons, and you are about to experience an otherworldly tale with the judges,” states the official description.
This event will work as a new main mission for the game and will give players the chance to earn a new four-star Light Cone as a limited-time reward.
Boulder Town Martial Exhibition
A new tournament is coming to celebrate martial arts in Belobog, and players will be able to take part in exciting matches to obtain rewards. As with most events, players will be able to get limited-time rewards if they play during specific dates.
Stellar Shadowseeker
The version 1.5 update of Honkai Star Rail will task players with salvaging damaged pictures taken by March 7th during your travels. This might shed some light on March 7th’s background as well, so players are excited to see what’s coming.
Additionally, two returning events will boost drops on version 1.5 of Honkai Star Rail:
- The Planar Fissure event will double Planar Ormanet drops in the Simulated Universe.
- The Garden of Pleny event will double the rewards for completing Golden and Crimson Calyxs.
Moreover, visiting Penacony will also unlock World 8 in the Simulated Universe, meaning players will have a lot to discover in this game mode. On the other hand, new stages for Stagnant Shadow and Cavern of Corrosion will also debut with the new update. Players will need to unlock new areas to reach these challenges, so keep that in mind.
