Best Luocha Honkai Star Rail build: Light Cones, Relics, teams, more
Luocha has instantly impressed the Honkai Star Rail community with an aggressive kit that lets him deal damage while also healing allies constantly. To make the most of Luocha’s abilities, here’s how you can build him with the best Relics, Light Cone, Planar Ornaments, Eidolons, teams, and more.
As opposed to Genshin Impact in which shielders are often prioritized over healers, Honkai Star Rail’s turn-based combat compels you to have a strong healer. You cannot avoid damage through reflexes and without a healer, your team might taste defeat in a few turns.
Luckily, Honkai Star Rail has only received one major update so far and we already have three solid healers. While Natasha can be unlocked for free, both Bailu and Luocha are locked behind the gacha system as five-star characters.
Luocha stands out among these healers because of his unique kit that doesn’t compromise on attack and heals allies even if his active healing skill is disabled.
On that note, here are the best Light Cones, Relics, Eidolons, Planar Ornaments, and team members to help you make the strongest Luocha in Honkai Star Rail.

Luocha’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail explained
Luocha belongs to the Imaginary element in Honkai Star Rail and follows the Path of Abundance like other healers in the game.
Here’s a list of Luocha’s skills, talents, and techniques:
- Thorn of the Abyss (basic skill) – Deals Imaginary DMG based on Luocha’s ATK.
- Prayer of Abyss Flower (skill) – You select an ally and heal them based on Luocha’s ATK. Every two turns, you also gain an effect that instantly heals any ally if their HP goes below 50%. This is similar to Natasha’s auto-cast when she’s low on HP.
- Death Wish (ultimate) – Removes all enemy buffs and you gain a stack of Luocha’s auto-cast skill that heals allies after their HP drops below 50%.
- Circle of Life (talent) – After getting two stacks of Abyss Flower, Luocha forms a field surrounding all enemies and when any ally attacks the enemies in the field, they instantly heal based on Luocha’s ATK.
- Mercy of a Fool (technique)– Use the technique to instantly trigger Circle of Life at the start of the battle.
Luocha Trace upgrade priorities in Honkai Star Rail
Luocha’s Talent and Skill are two of his most important Traces in Honkai Star Rail and they should be the first priority while upgrading Traces. Once they’re fully maxed out, you can upgrade the Ultimate skill.
Luocha’s damage isn’t anything special so we don’t recommend upgrading his basic skill.

How to play Luocha in Honkai Star Rail
Although Luocha’s healing in Honkai Star Rail is based on his ATK, his primary role is still to heal and boost your team’s survival. A simple attack rotation that should help you get the most out of this character is basic attack > basic attack > skill > ultimate.
This attack rotation focuses on utilizing every bit of your energy efficiently and provides maximum heals to allies. Even though stacking the Prayer of Abyss Flower (skill) quickly seems lucrative, it is only recommended if Luocha doesn’t affect the skill points of your shielders and damage dealers.
Best Relics for Luocha in Honkai Star Rail
Passerby of Wandering Cloud
- 2-piece set – Increases healing by 10%.
- 4-piece set – Regenerate an additional skill point at the start of the battle.
While the two-piece Passerby of Wandering Cloud is tailor-made for all healers in Honkai Star Rail, the four-piece set can help you gain a major advantage at the start of the battle. You can use the additional skill point to stack the Abyss Flower and start in a very strong position.
Eagle of Twilight Line
- 2-piece set – Increases Wind DMG by 10%.
- 4-piece set – The user’s action is pushed forward by 25% after using their Ultimate.
While the two-piece bonus is useless here, the four-piece bonus can be a game-changer because it’ll allow you to use your skill and protect/heal the team more frequently.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- 2-piece set – Increases ATK by 12%.
We only recommend using the two-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat set as it increases Luocha’s ATK, indirectly leading to better healing. The four-piece of this set increases basic skill ATK DMG which isn’t something you’ll be using this five-star healer for.
Hence, pairing the two-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat with the two-piece Passerby of Wandering Cloud is also a brilliant option.

Best Planar Ornaments for Luocha in Honkai Star Rail
Fleet of the Ageless
The two-piece Fleet of the Ageless Planar Ornament set in Honkai Star Rail increases the wearer’s max HP and buffs ATK based on ATK SPD.
Fleet of the Ageless is recommended for Honkai Star Rail players who’ll be using Luocha’s signature Light Cone called Echoes of the Coffin. This is because the Light Cone increases your ATK SPD and this Planar Ornament buffs ATK when your character’s ATK SPD reaches 120 or higher. The end result of this long chain of status effects is increased healing.
The two-piece Sprightly Vonwacq Planar Ornament in Honkai Star Rail increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration and pushes forward their attack by 40% if their ATK SPD is higher than 120. If your build increases Luocha’s max SPD, choosing this Planar Ornament is a no-brainer.
The energy regeneration buff is also useful as you’ll be able to use his Ultimate more often and constantly trigger new attack rotations.
What Planar Ornament stats are best for Luocha in Honkai Star Rail?
While building Luocha in Honkai Star Rail, you should get these stats from your Planar Ornaments:
- Link Rope – Energy Recharge
- Sphere – ATK%
Best Light Cones for Luocha in Honkai Star Rail
Echoes of the Coffin
Echoes of the Coffin is the signature five-star Light Cone for Luocha in Honkai Star Rail. It boosts your ATK, helps in energy regeneration, and increases ATK SPD after using an Ultimate. This fits in brilliantly with the attack rotation we mentioned above and you’ll rarely struggle to heal your team.
This four-star Light Cone increases energy regeneration by 8% and buffs Outgoing healing by 12% after using an Ultimate Skill. Apart from the SPD buff, the Post-op Conversation matches the five-star Echoes of the Coffin and it is arguably the best four-star Light Cone for the character.
This is a standard four-star Light Cone for healers in Honkai Star Rail that boosts outgoing healing and helps in Energy Regeneration. Unsurprisingly, both these status effects are desirable for Luocha.
This three-star F2P Light Cone pushes your action forward by 12% after using the basic attack. We recommend using Multiplication with Luocha if you’ve superimposed the weapon to level 5.
This is a four-star Light Cone in Honkai Star Rail that you can use if your Luocha build has stats like Effect Res. It boosts outgoing healing based on Effect RES and also increases the wearer’s Effect Res by 16%.
Best teams for Luocha in Honkai Star Rail
Being a healer, Luocha is one of the most flexible Honkai Star Rail characters who can be placed in any team with damage dealers and support characters. Having said that, Clara is undoubtedly the best teammate for Luocha because of her ability to constantly do follow-up attacks.
As it turns out, Luocha’s talent works with follow-up attacks as well which basically makes Clara invincible. Other characters in the game that specialize in follow-up attacks such as Jing Yuan, Himeko, and Herta also synergize well with Luocha.
Apart from these characters, feel free to put Luocha in any team and you should be able to get a ton of healing.
Are Luocha’s Eidolons worth it in Honkai Star Rail?
Luocha feels like a complete healer in Honkai Star Rail at E0 but if you want to turn him into a support character, these Eidolons must be unlocked:
- E1 – Characters gain an ATK buff when inside Luocha’s healing field.
- E2 – Increases outgoing healing for characters low on HP and grants shield upon skill usage.
- E4 – Weakens enemies when Luocha’s field is active.
- E6 – Reduced all enemies’ All-type RES for 2 turns by 20% while using an Ultimate.
Basically, none of these Eidolons is a major boost to Luocha’s healing abilities and you won’t be missing out on anything without them.
