Imbibitor Lunae is a key element in the Xianzhou Luofu storyline.

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail explained

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae is a five-star Honkai Star Rail Imaginary element character in the Path of The Destruction. Characters in this specific Path specialize in dealing all sorts of damage to single-target enemies and AoE (Area of Effect). Dan Heng‘s more powerful form is boosted in the first phase of update 2.0 alongside Black Swan’s banner.

Here are all of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail:

  • Beneficent Lotus (Basic attack) – A 2-hit attack that deals Imaginary DMG between 50–110% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy.
  • Transcendence (Basic attack) – A 3-hit attack that deals Imaginary DMG between 130%–286% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy.
  • Divine Spear (Basic attack) – A 5-hit attack that deals Imaginary DMG equal to 190%—418% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy. Additionally, from the fourth hit onward, it also deals Imaginary DMG to adjacent targets.
  • Fulgurant Leap (Basic attack) – A 7-hit attack that deals Imaginary DMG equal to 250%–550% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy. Additionally, from the fourth hit onward, it also deals Imaginary DMG to adjacent targets.
  • Dracore Libre (Skill) – Enhances Basic ATK. Enhancements may be applied up to three times in a row. It’s important to note that using this ability does not consume Skill Points and is not considered as using a Skill, so Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae can trigger this ability and then attack in the same turn.
    • Enhanced once, Basic ATK becomes Transcendence.
    • Enhanced twice, Basic ATK becomes Divine Spear.
    • Enhanced thrice, Basic ATK becomes Fulgurant Leap.
  • Azure’s Aqua Ablutes All (Ultimate) – A 3-hit attack that deals Imaginary DMG to a single enemy target and adjacent targets. Additionally, obtains two Squama Sacrosancta. This works like Skill Points for Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae and prevents him from spending those.
  • Righteous Heart (Talent) – After each hit dealt during an attack, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae gains one stack of Righteous Heart, increasing his DMG output. This effect can stack up to six times, lasting until the end of his turn.
  • Heaven-Quelling Prismadrakon (Technique) – After using his Technique, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae enters the Leaping Dragon state for 20 seconds. While in this state, using his attack enables him to move forward rapidly for a set distance, attacking all enemies he touches and blocking all incoming attacks. After entering combat, deals Imaginary DMG to all enemies and gains one Squama Sacrosancta.

As you can see, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae is an unstoppable force. He not only has different types of Basic ATK to use in different situations, but he can also control his Skill Point consumption after using his Ultimate. Considering his abilities, you’ll want to improve his CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG alongside his ATK and SPD.

It’s also important to note that both Divine Spear and Fulgurant Leap give Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae one stack of Outroar starting with the fourth hit. Each stack of Outroar increases his CRIT DMG until the end of his turn and can be stacked up to four times.

Best Relics for Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae in Honkai Star Rail

Wastelander of Banditry Desert

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Imaginary DMG by 10%.
  • Four-piece bonus: When attacking debuffed enemies, the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 10%. Moreover, if the enemy is Imprisoned, then the wearer’s CRIT DMG increases by 20%.

If you want to improve Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s DMG output in Honkai Star Rail, this is a great Relic set for Imaginary characters. However, the four-piece bonus is very specific and might not apply to most battles you’re in, so we recommend going with the two-piece set.

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

  • Two-piece bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
  • Four-piece bonus: The wearer’s SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.

You can pair the two-piece set of Wastelander of Banditry Desert with a two-piece set of Musketeer of Wild Wheat to further enhance Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK. Since Musketeer of Wild Wheat is the easiest Relic set to get in the game, it’s a pretty good option to keep in mind.

Thief of Shooting Meteor

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
  • Four-piece bonus: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. Additionally, when the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates 3 Energy.

If you want to mix things up, you can also opt for a set of Thief of Shooting Meteor. Is another accessible Relic set that could work well with Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae when dealing with enemies that are weak against Imaginary attacks.

Best Planar Ornament for Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae

Celestial Differentiator can work very well with Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae in Honkai Star Rail. This Planar Ornament increases Imbibitor Luane’s CRIT DMG by 16% for starters. Then, when his CRIT DMG reaches 120% or higher, after entering battle, his CRIT Rate increases by 60% until the end of his first attack. Once again, this might be best suited to battle enemies that are weak against Imaginary attacks.

On the other hand, Rutilant Arena is another Planar Ornament that can enhance Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s capabilities. It increases his CRIT Rate by 8% at first, and when it reaches 70% or higher, his Basic ATK and Skill DMG increase by 20%. Considering Imbibitor Lunae has four different types of Basic ATK, this Planar Ornament seems like a perfect match.

Best Light Cone for Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae in Honkai Star Rail

Brighter Than the Sun

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae debuted in Honkai Star Rail alongside his own signature Light Cone, so you should try to get it while you can. Brighter Than the Sun starts by increasing the wearer’s CRIT Rate, which is ideal for this character. Then, when the wearer uses their Basic ATK, they gain one stack of Dragon’s Call, lasting for two turns.

Each stack of Dragon’s Call increases Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK and Energy Regeneration Rate, making him unstoppable.

On the Fall of an Aeon

A different five-star Light Cone can work just as well for Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae. With On the Fall of an Aeon, whenever the wearer attacks, their ATK is increased in the battle, up to four times. What’s more, when the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on enemies, his DMG increases for two turns.

The Moles Welcome You

With this Light Cone, using Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate to attack enemies makes Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae gain one stack of Mischievous. Each stack increases his ATK, meaning it’s great for this and any character in the Path of The Destruction.

Of course, almost any Destruction Light Cone will work like magic with an already powerful Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, so keep that in mind. In addition to the ones mentioned above, we also recommend Under the Blue Sky.

Best Honkai Star Rail teams for Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae

Since Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae is an extremely powerful character in Honkai Star Rail, he should be the main DPS in your team. He can deal damage to single enemies and AoE, meaning you can pair him with a healer and two support characters without sacrificing any damage output.

If you’re going for a free-to-play team composition, you can pair Imbibitor Lunae with Yukong and Asta as support characters. Yukong will use most of the Skill Points to enhance Dan Heng’s ATK, while Asta will improve his SPD with her Ultimate. Additionally, you should get Natasha as your healer to keep everyone in battle.

Alternatively, you can swap Asta with a character in the Path of The Nihility, like Silver Wolf or Pela, to apply debuffs to enemies. Also, Tingyun can replace Yukong if you have the chance. This way, you’ll keep enhancing Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK while also weakening enemies for him to finish them off. Of course, if you have a premium healer, like Luocha or Bailu, you can also pick them for your team.
