Baxcalibur is among the rarest and most sought-after species in Pokemon Go while also being a great addition to PvP and PvE teams. Fans are desperate to get their hands on this prized Pseudo Legendary, so here’s all you need to know about getting Baxcalibur in Pokemon Go, including its shiny availability.

Pokemon Go players leave no stone unturned to catch ’em all as they grind day and night to capture all available Pokemon in the mobile game. While Legendaries can be caught from Raid Battles, a few species are more difficult to get.

The Dragon/Ice-type Baxcalibur is one of the rarest species in Pokemon Go. Like most trainers, you may still be waiting to add it to your Pokedex, considering that it is one of the most powerful Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet and the ace of many teams.

With the Pokemon Go community eager to have a Baxcalibur in their collection, we’re breaking down how to get it, whether it’s good in PvP and PvE battles, and if shiny Baxcalibur is up for grabs.

Here’s everything you need to know about Baxcalibur in Pokemon Go.

How to get Baxcalibur in Pokemon Go

Baxcalibur is known for its flexibility in battles.

You can get Baxcalibur in Pokemon Go by catching or hatching a Frigibax and evolving it into Arctibax with 25 Candy. Arctibax can then be evolved into Baxcalibur with 100 Candy.

Frigibax is available in the wild and is also a part of the 10km Egg pool. While the spawn is extremely rare, you are more likely to find it in windy or snowy weather in the game.

Can Baxcalibur be shiny in Pokemon Go?

No, shiny Baxcalibur is not available in Pokemon Go.

As it is a Pseudo Legendary Pokemon like Garchomp, Dragonite, and Metagross, we expect shiny Baxcalibur to make its debut on its Community Day or during a future Go Fest event.

Is Baxcalibur good in Pokemon Go PvP?

Yes, Baxcalibur is good in Pokemon Go PvP, particularly in the Master League.

Its Dragon/Ice type combination makes it a major threat in the Go Battle League, where it can eliminate some of the strongest species in the meta. In addition, it is one of the few Dragon Pokemon that isn’t weak to Ice-type attacks. This makes it a safe switch-in to Mamoswine, Glaceon, or Walrein in the Master League.

While its Defense stat of 168 isn’t too high, it makes up for it with an impressive HP stat of 229. Also, its Attack stat of 254 is good enough to dent holes in the defenses of many PvP Pokemon.

Best Baxcalibur Pokemon Go PvP moveset

The best moveset for Baxcalibur in Pokemon Go PvP is Dragon Breath as a Fast Move combined with Dragon Claw and Avalanche as Charged Moves.

Dragon Claw is the best Dragon-type Fast Move in the game. With 4 DPT (Damage Per Turn) and 3 EPT (Energy Per Turn), it dishes out high damage and also generates energy pretty quickly. This helps Baxcalibur spam Dragon Claw and bait shields as it costs only 35 energy. Additionally, its damage output of 50 is pretty nice as well.

But Baxcalibur’s deadliest move is Avalanche. At just 50 energy, this Ice-type Charged Move deals 90 damage. This helps Baxcalibur take out opponents like Garchomp, Dragonite, Landorus Therian, Ho-Oh, and even the Fairy-type Togekiss.

Is Baxcalibur good in Pokemon Go PvE?

Yes, Baxcalibur is excellent in Pokemon Go PvE. It is among the best Ice-type attackers in the game, with its DPS (Damage Per Second) just behind the likes of Galarian Darmanitan and Shadow Mamoswine.

With the Dragon type added, it gets resistance to the Electric, Grass, and Water types, something that a typical Ice-type Pokemon wouldn’t get.

Best Baxcalibur Pokemon Go PvE moveset

The best moveset for Baxcalibur in Pokemon Go PvE is Ice Fang as a Fast Move paired with Avalanche as a Charged Move.

Ice Fang and Avalanche form the best Ice-type moveset duo, letting Baxcalibur deal massive damage in Raid Battles. Since Avalanche is a 2-bar move, Baxcalibur can use this attack more frequently on the battlefield and help you get more victories.
