Harmony Trailblazer abilities in Honkai Star Rail explained

The new version of the Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail is an Imaginary element character in the Path of The Harmony. This means their kit includes support abilities that can buff their allies.

Here’s the Harmony Trailblazer’s full kit in HSR:

  • Swing Dance Etiquette (Basic ATK) – Deals minor Imaginary DMG to a single-target enemy.
  • Halftime to Make It Rain (Skill) – Deals Imaginary DMG to a single enemy and deals DMG for 4 extra times, dealing the same amount of DMG to a random enemy each time.
  • All-Out Footlight Parade (Ultimate) – Applies the Backup Dancer effect to all allies for 3 turns. Decreases its duration by 1 turn at the start of Trailblazer’s turn. Allies with Backup Dancer increase their Break Effect. When they attack enemy targets that are in the Weakness Broken state, they will convert the Toughness-Reducing DMG of this attack to Super Break DMG 1 time.
  • Full-on Aerial Dance (Talent) – The Trailblazer immediately regenerates between 5 and 11 Energy when an enemy target’s Weakness is Broken.
  • Now! I’m the Band! (Technique) – After using the Technique, at the start of the next battle, all allies’ Break Effect increases by 30% for 2 turns.

The Harmony Trailblazer will thrive with these abilities now that the Super Break DMG is a new element added with the latest enemies.

However, the latest Harmony characters added are much better supports than this one. The Trailblazer will always prioritize dealing DMG to enemies, no matter what Path they’re on. This is a great way to stay versatile for different team compositions, especially considering that you need the main character for many story missions.

Best Relics for Harmony Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail

Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
  • Four-piece bonus: When the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally, all allies’ Break Effect increases by 30% for 2 turns. This effect cannot be stacked.

This Relic set introduced with the Penacony storyline seems tailor-made for the Harmony Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail. The Harmony Trailblazer already increases their allies’ Break Effect for three turns, so this set further improves on that. However, it might be best to combine a two-piece set with another alternative.

Thief of Shooting Meteor

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
  • Four-piece bonus: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. After the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates 3 Energy.

This Relic set also increases the unit’s Break Effect by 16%, so combining it with Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations is a great strategy. You can also try a four-piece set of Thief of Shooting Meteor, but the Harmony Trailblazer already regenerates energy when an enemy’s Weakness is Broken.

Best Planar Ornament for Harmony Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail

Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is a great Planar Ornament for the Harmony Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail. It increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%, and when the wearer’s SPD reaches 145 or higher, their Break Effect increases by an extra 20%.

Alternatively, Sprightly Vonwacq increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. Then, when the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s action is Advanced Forward by 40% immediately upon entering battle. This can make the Trailblazer charge their Ultimate faster to increase their allie’s Break Effect.

Penacony, Land of the Dreams is a similar Planar Ornament, but it’s best suited for teams with other Imaginary characters.

Best Light Cone for Harmony Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail

Past Self in Mirror

Ruan Mei is one of the best Harmony characters in Honkai Star Rail, and her Light Cone is great for the Harmony Trailblazer. It increases the wearer’s Break Effect by up to 100%, for starters. Then, when the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases all allies’ DMG by up to 40% for 3 turns.

That’s not all, because if the wearer’s Break Effect exceeds or is equal to 150%, 1 Skill Point will be recovered. Lastly, at the start of each wave, all allies regenerate up to 20 Energy immediately. All these effects build on top of the Trailblazer’s kit, as well as the Relics you pick, making them a great asset.

But the Battle Isn’t Over

Bronya‘s Light Cone increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by up to 18% and regenerates 1 Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally.

Then, when the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals up to 50% more DMG for 1 turn. This Light Cone also improves the Trailblazer’s abilities while adding new supporting capabilities as well.

Memories of the Past

This alternative increases the wearer’s Break Effect by up to 56%, and when the wearer attacks, additionally regenerates up to 8 Energy. It’s a pretty straightforward option that can further improve the Trailblazer’s Break Effect to reach new heights.

Robin’s signature Light Cone, Flowing Nightglow, is another interesting option if you want to improve the Trailblazer’s ATK and DMG output, so keep that in mind while its banner is still running.

The Imaginary Trailblazer can fit in almost any team.

Best teams for Harmony Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail

Since the Harmony Trailblazer is a support character in Honkai Star Rail, you should add them to a team with one DPS and a healer. You can round it out with a shielder or a Sub-DPS, preferably one that can apply DoT (Damage over Time) or benefits from their Break Effect.

If you’re going for a free-to-play composition, Dan Heng is a good DPS that can be paired with either Natasha or Lynx as healers. Asta can further improve Dan Heng’s DMG output and SPD so he can eliminate enemies easily.

On the other hand, Xueyi is a great DPS to pair with the Harmony Trailblazer, as most of her abilities rely on her Break Effect. However, if you’re looking to build a mono-Imaginary team, you can pair them with Dr. Ratio and Aventurine, alongside Silver Wolf to apply Imaginary Weakness to enemies that don’t have it.

Lastly, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae can be another great DPS to pair with the Harmony Trailblazer, and adding Ruan Mei for even more supporting abilities will improve the team’s Break Effect and Break Efficiency even further.
