Who is Hanya in Honkai Star Rail?
Official Honkai Star Rail accounts shared Hanya’s character card in September, describing her as one of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission. In terms of gameplay, Hanya is a four-star Physical element character in the Path of The Harmony. This means she’s a support character tasked with enhancing her teammates’ abilities.
According to her official description, “she specializes in reading the karma and sins of criminals, and records their crimes and punishments with the Oracle Brush.” What’s more, this arduous task made her dull to all things in the world. HoYoverse anticipated that her true nature only shows when she operates with her sister and fellow judge, Xueyi, another character HSR players know very well.
Hanya Honkai Star Rail release date
HoYoverse confirmed Hanya will debut in the second phse of Honkai Star Rail’s 1.5 update, meaning she’ll arrive on December, 2023.
She’ll debut alongside Argenti and Huohuo, two highly anticipated five-star characters.

Honkai Star Rail leakers also shared Hanya’s abilities in battle. Since none of the following information is officially confirmed, we recommend you take it with a grain of salt. Even if the information is accurate, it’s still subject to change until Hanya debuts in the game.
- Skill – Deals Physical DMG to a single target and applies [Burden] on them. [Burden] will automatically release three times after triggering the Talent’s Skill Point recovery.
- Ultimate – Increases the SPD and ATK of a target ally, lasting for two turns. Additionally, recover one Skill Point.
- Talent – When an ally attacks a target afflicted with [Burden], their DMG will increase. Additionally, there is a chance of recovering a Skill Point.
- Technique – Immediately attacks an enemy. After entering the battle, inflict [Burden] onto a random target.
Considering her abilities, it seems like Hanya is a very interesting support character designed to fight alongside characters that consume many Skill Points. While her element isn’t very enticing, Hanya’s abilities provide support for various situations and could change the tide of a battle thanks to her Ultimate and Talent.
