Honkai Star Rail is full of sidequests called Adventure Missions and Out of Reach can be a tricky one. Here’s how to complete this particular mission to get useful rewards.

Alongside the main storyline of Honkai Star Rail, players can also complete many sidequests to get useful rewards to power up characters. These Adventure Missions often involve solving puzzles and finding items, so it’s normal for players to get stuck trying to solve them.

How to unlock the Out of Reach quest in Honkai Star Rail

To unlock the Out of Reach Adventure Mission in Honkai Star Rail, players need to get to Trailblaze Level 20 and complete the Trial of Equilibrium: Part One mission.

Once that’s achieved, the sidequest can be triggered by heading to the Supply Zone in Herta Space Station. You can do this by teleporting to the Electrical Room space anchor. There, you’ll hear a man screaming for help. Follow the sound of that voice to find him. Once you step into a new area, you’ll see the man and will need to activate the repulsion bridge to start the quest with a cutscene.

How to complete the Out of Reach quest in Honkai Star Rail

Once you trigger the Out of Reach Adventure Mission in Honkai Star Rail, listen to what the old man has to say. You’ll need to activate the bridges around him to reach his location.

Here’s how to solve the bridge puzzle:

1. Interact with the control panel right next to you to activate the blue bridge.
2. From there, go left and activate the panel at the end of the path.
3. Go back to the first panel and interact again to activate the orange bridge.
4. Now go right from there and activate the last control panel.

Once you reach the old man, make sure to grab the Precious Treasure Chest contents. Then, interact with the man to learn his name: Wen Tianweng. Although you’re looking for a reward for your hard work, Wen Tianweng will pretend he has bad hearing and vanish.

To search for him, teleport to the Railway Platform space anchor and head north to the maintenance room. There, the old man will give you a map to find the Comet Hunter’s Treasure. Leave Wen Tianweng behind and teleport to the Storage Zone to follow the quest marker.

Once in that room, you’ll find four pieces of paper stuck in the walls and the monitor. Along the way, you’ll learn about Hosea Lazaro, the person behind the recipe for the popular drink Kapo-Kali. That will also tell you that this “treasure” you’re looking for isn’t what you’re probably expecting.

Go back to Wen Tianweng and deliver the four pieces of paper to him to complete the Out of Reach Adventure Mission. You’ll have a choice to make, but the outcome will be the same either way, so don’t worry about it.
