Honkai Star Rail players don’t need to wait for the next banner to get some powerful four-star characters in their teams. Pela is an interesting support character that players love due to her cuteness, but she can also prove to be a great ally in battle with the right build.

If you’re looking to have Pela among your characters or you pulled her trying to get another one in Honkai Star Rail, here’s the best possible build including Light Cone, Relic, Planar Ornament, and more.

Pela’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail explained

Pela is a four-star Ice element character in the Path of The Nihility in Honkai Star Rail, which means she specializes in debuffing and weakening opponents. She’s part of the Stellar Warp so you don’t need to wait for a special event to get her.

Pela has the following abilities in Honkai Star Rail:

  • Frost Shot (Basic attack) – Deals Ice DMG to a single enemy.
  • Frostbite (Skill) – Removes 1 buff and deals Ice DMG to a single enemy.
  • Zone Suppression (Ultimate) – Deals Ice DMG to all enemies and has a 100% base chance to inflict Exposed on all enemies. When Exposed, enemies’ DEF is reduced for 2 turns.
  • Data Collecting (Talent) – If the enemy is debuffed after Pela’s attack, Pela will restore up to 12.5 extra Energy.
  • Preemptive Strike (Technique) – Immediately attacks the enemy. Upon entering battle, Pela deals Ice DMG to a random enemy. This action has a 100% base chance of lowering the DEF of all enemies by 20% for 2 whole turns.

Looking at Pela’s different abilities, you should focus on enhancing her Effect Hit %, Break Effect, and Energy Regeneration. Pela can be a pain for lots of enemies and enhancing these stats can make her even deadlier. You might also want to keep an eye on her SPD so you can squeeze more attacks and debuffs per turn.

Best Relics for Pela in Honkai Star Rail

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

  • Two-piece bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
  • Four-piece bonus: The wearer’s SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.

Having this full set of Relics can give Pela some room to apply powerful debuffs on enemies. While there isn’t a set that works perfectly with her, this one is the easiest to get in Honkai Star Rail.

Hunter of Glacial Forest

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Ice DMG by 10%.
  • Four-piece bonus: After the wearer unleashes their Ultimate, their CRIT DMG increases by 25% for 2 turns.

If you prefer to improve Pela’s damage output, this Relic set is made for Ice element characters. This will make her Basic ATK, Skill, and Ultimate deal more damage so she doesn’t fall behind in battle.

Thief of Shooting Meteor

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Break Effect by 20%.
  • Four-piece bonus: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 20%. The wearer generates 3 Energy after applying the Break Effect to an enemy.

Alternatively, Thief of Shooting Meteor is one of the best Relic sets for support characters. As you can see, it will improve Pela’s Break Effect greatly while also enhancing her Energy Regen so you can use her Ultimate more often.

Characters in the path of the Nihility are great for debuffing enemies.

Best Planar Ornament for Pela in Honkai Star Rail

Pan-Galactic Commercial Enterprise is the go-to Planar Ornament for support characters in Honkai Star Rail. It not only increases Pela’s Effect Hit Rate by 10% but also her ATK up to 25%. It’s a fairly easy Relic set to get, so it should be your first option.

Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is also a great option for Pela. It increases her Break Effect by 20%, and when her SPD reaches 145 or higher, it increases it again by an extra 28%. This can improve most of Pela’s abilities in battle to make her a force to be reckoned with.

Lastly, Fleet of the Ageless is another Planar Ornament that works well for support characters. It increases Pela’s Max HP and can also increase the whole party’s ATK when her SPD reaches 120 or higher.

Best Light Cone for Pela in Honkai Star Rail

Before the Tutorial Mission Starts

Before the Tutorial Mission Starts increases Pela’s Effect Hit Rate by 20%. Additionally, when she attacks enemies that have reduced DEF, she regenerates up to 8 Energy. This is great to enhance some of Pela’s most important stats and it’s a great starting point for the character.

Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat

This Light Cone works well if you want to add even more debuffs to Pela’s arsenal. When she hits an enemy, there is a 60-100% base chance to Ensnare it. Ensnared enemies’ DEF decreases up to 16% for 1 turn. Do note that this won’t happen on already Ensnared enemies.

In the Name of the World

Welt‘s signature Light Cone is ideal for characters in the path of The Nihility. It increases Pela’s DMG dealt to debuffed enemies, and when she uses her Skill, the Effect Hit Rate for this attack increases by 18%, and ATK increases by 24%.

Of course, if you don’t have any of these Light Cones, any other aligned with the path of The Nihility will also improve Pela’s abilities in battle in one way or the other.

Best Honkai Star Rail teams for Pela

If you’re planning to add Pela to your Honkai Star Rail team, you should pair her with a powerful DPS and a Healer, for starters. To round up your team you can either go for more damage output with another attacker or pick another support to enhance your team’s abilities.

That said, Dan Heng, Seele, or Yanqing are great options to deal massive amounts of damage to enemies. Now that Luocha made his debut, you can pick him as your Healer, although Bailou is still a wonderful choice.

Bronya is the perfect support character so it wouldn’t harm you to add her here. Alternatively, if you’re looking to deal more damage, you can pick another DPS or characters like Himeko or Serval that can deal AoE damage.
