Warzone 2 expert reveals “slept on” LMG to dominate long-range meta in Season 5

Season 5 of Warzone 2 introduced a wealth of fresh content for players to enjoy, encompassing new weaponry like the FR Avancer and Carrack .300, the addition of celebrity Operators, movement changes, and an exciting new event offering players the opportunity to earn free rewards.
As with previous seasons, Season 5’s buffs and nerfs drastically changed the game’s meta, introducing new top-tier options, in addition to establishing popular choices like the Cronen Squall and TAQ-V.

- Barrel: FTAC Coldforge 16″ barrel
- Muzzle: Echoless-80
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
To start off WhosImortal‘s best 556 Icarus loadout, they opted for the FTAC Coldforge 16″ barrel to improve damage range along with bullet velocity, which combined with the Echoless-80 muzzle, further boosts bullet velocity and damage range while helping with recoil steadiness.
Then, they chose the 5.56 High Velocity ammunition for additional bullet velocity in order for the weapon to feel “easier” to hit shots “consistently.” The FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel enhances recoil stability and control and merged with the Aim OP-V4 optic, it will allow you to hit distant shots with ease, especially on Al Mazrah.
According to the creator, the 556 Icarus is “super slept on” right now in the game. When compared with other long-range meta options, the Icarus’s outstanding TTK makes it a solid contender to use for both mid to long-range gunfights.
