How to unlock FR Avancer in Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Season 5

In Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 5, players will have access to classic Call of Duty weapons. One of these weapons is the FR Avancer Assault Rifle, which is also known as the FAMAS. Here’s everything you need to know about how to unlock the FR Avancer in Season 5.

With hype ramping up for Modern Warfare 3 as the reveal approaches, Warzone and Modern Warfare 2’s Season 5 update brings nostalgia. Alongside the fan-favorite Strike map from CoD 4, two classic Call of Duty weapons return.

Not only does the WA2000 Sniper Rifle arrive, but the popular FAMAS Assault Rifle, now called the FR Avancer, can be unlocked with the Season 5 update. Resembling both the FAMAS from Black Ops 1 and the FFAR from Cold War, the FR Avancer is set to be a powerful choice for both multiplayer and battle royale.

How to unlock FR Avancer in MW2 & Warzone 2

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 5’s FR Avancer Assault Rifle can be unlocked for free by completing the E8 Sector of the Season 5 Battle Pass which goes live on August 2.

The FR Avancer is a “fast-firing bullpup rifle” with “a blinding fire rate and exceptional maneuverability” that’s described as a “midrange behemoth that can neutralize targets quickly within a few dozen meters.”

The FFAR was a dominant Sniper Support weapon in the original Warzone, so expect it to fill that role once again when it arrives with the Season 5 update.
