Valorant is no exception, and Riot Games have reworked the display name system through a minor update on November 20, 2023.

How to change your Riot ID in Valorant

Follow these steps to change your display name in Valorant:

  1. Launch Riot Client.
  2. Log in with your Riot Account and tap on the Profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. You’ll be redirected to the official Riot Games website. You can directly visit the link and log in through the browser to skip the first two steps.
  4. Go to Account Management > Riot ID.
  5. Your Riot ID and Tagline will be displayed in the Riot ID section.
  6. Click on your Riot ID and type the new name. Similarly, clicking on your Tagline will let you change it.
  7. Click on Save Changes.

With this method, you can change your display name and Tagline in Valorant every 90 days. It is important to remember that the entire process involves the Riot client and website. You cannot change your name from Valorant’s in-game settings.
