Black Ops 6’s Winner’s Circle has players split despite having same complaint

While Black Ops 6‘s gameplay including Omnimovement, spawns, and weapon balance have been the main talking points, the Winner’s Circle has split the player base. Still, they agree on one thing.

At the end of each round, the top three players from the winning team stand side by side for 15 seconds while being able to spam emotes. This screen was silent with the Early Access Beta, but the characters now make noises like “shh” every time they start the emote.

This 15-second screen can’t be skipped, nor can you leave the game while it’s ongoing, with the lobby forced to sit and wait at the end of every game.

Ever since the beta arrived, there have been tons of Reddit posts, comments, and tweets calling for it to be removed.

Others, however, don’t mind the feature at all. “I laugh when I see it,” said one Reddit user. “I think it adds to the game.”

“Honestly, I like it. It’s a dumb thing to show off skins and emotes, but it doesn’t take away too much for me, and an extra 5 seconds isn’t much,” replied another.

It seems that no matter whether players like or dislike the Winner’s Circle, many share the same opinion – it should either be shorter or allow players to skip it.

“Keep the winner’s circle if you want, but could you at least allow us to leave the game when it ends instead of waiting 40 seconds to start searching for another match?” asked a Reddit user in a post.

“In Overwatch, you can leave as soon as the screen says ‘Victory/Defeat,’ letting you skip the Play Of The Game and the winner’s circle (which is an advertisement screen for skins in both Overwatch and COD),” replied another player. “COD doesn’t have an excuse if Overwatch lets you do what people want to do.”

“I like it but do wish it wasn’t 15 seconds long. It’s just long enough to feel a bit too long personally,” said Reddit user ‘Tra_Astolfo’ in a different thread.

It’s unlikely for Treyarch to completely remove the Winner’s Circle screen but perhaps we’ll see the timer reduced once the game’s October 25 launch comes around. After all, some of the beta feedback including spawns and weapon balance was addressed between the two beta weekends.
