While the latest Act is still quite fresh, some players might be interested in knowing when Episode 9 Act 2 begins, especially since it could bring a new Agent to the game.
Episode 9 Act 2 start date
Episode 9 Act 2 will arrive on August 27, 2024, at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM BST as revealed by the Battle Pass timer for Ep 9 Act 1.
Keep in mind that the devs always schedule server maintenance right after the end of an Act, which temporarily disables Valorant servers.
Next Act expected content
At the time of writing, not much is known about what Episode 9 Act 2 has in store. However, given the standard release schedule of Agents, the upcoming Act is expected to bring a new addition to Valorant’s roster.
This theory is reinforced by all the hints dropped in the ongoing season. For instance, the new Abyss map features a silhouette of Agent 26, and the Battle Pass reward ‘In Bloom’ player card features the flower motif associated with them.
Besides this, the final shots of the Episode 9 Act 1 trailer display thorny roots spreading across the ground, leading to speculation that the Agent’s abilities are linked with plants. Another scene from the trailer sees the roots crash into an hourglass, possibly hinting that the abilities could have something to do with time manipulation.
