Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 got off to a hot start on March 5, and now the devs have finally revealed the star of the next major update, Agent Clove. Although the devs have not yet detailed whether Act 3 will bring new weapons or a new map, players are more hyped about Clove’s release in Act 2.

Valorant Clove release date
Riot Games have confirmed that Valorant Agent 25, Clove, will be officially released on March 26, 2024, with the latest big update in Episode 8 Act 2. Along with the official announcement, the devs also posted a video featuring Clove in action.
The update is expected to be released after a maintenance break of two hours, and Agent Clove will be a part of the lineup as soon as it goes live.
Valorant Clove role & appearance
Valorant devs have also confirmed Clove’s appearance and role on their official website, as the Agent is set to be a Controller. Players can also take a look at their appearance for the first time as they are set to be wearing a pink and purple-themed outfit and someone who likes to stay on the frontlines.
Valorant Clove abilities
Alongside Clove’s role in Valorant, Riot Games have also released information about their abilities in the game. Here’s everything you need to know about Clove’s abilities:
- Meddle (Q): Clove focuses a fragment of immortality essence that, once thrown, deteriorates the life essence of those hit by the blast.
- Pick-Me-Up (C): Clove absorbs the life energy of a fallen enemy, granting them a moment of increased agility and health.
- Not Dead Yet (X): Clove defies death by activating their immortality essence. To stabilize their form, they must remove the life energy of an opponent.
- Ruse (E): Clove’s mind projects a view of the battlefield from above. Using their essence, they manifest vision-obscuring clouds that change the flow of battle, even in death.
How to unlock Clove in Valorant & their Agent Gear
Once the Valorant update goes live on March 26, you can unlock Clove in the Agent tab using 1000 VP. However, if you want a free method, you can simply complete the Agent Recruitment Event and acquire 200,000 XP to be able to unlock them. Finally, spend 8000 Kingdom Credits to unlock Clove.
