Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Decidueye Tera Raid Battle event dates & how to beat
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched a new Tera Raid Battle featuring a debuting Pokemon in the game. So here are the Decidueye Tera Raid Battle event dates and best counters to use.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid Battles keep players busy with lots to do while they wait for additional DLC content in the coming months. The current event features the debut of Decidueye for players to beat and catch in two sets of Tera Raid battle dates.
Here’s everything there is to know about the Decidueye event, including dates and how to beat this powerful Pokemon with the best counters.
Decidueye Tera Raid Battle dates in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
As with some of the previous 7-Star Tera Raid Battles, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players had two sets of dates to take on the Flying Tera Type Decidueye.
The Pokemon has the Mightiest Mark, which means players will only be able to catch one per save file. Since Decidueye has the Flying Tera Type, players can expect the battle to be a very tough one. Those looking for a challenge must search for Black Tera Crystals across Paldea.
How to beat Decidueye Tera Raid Battle event in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
As a Flying Tera Type, Decidueye is weak against Rock, Electric, and Ice-type attacks in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This particular Decidueye can resist damage from Fighting, Bug, and Grass-type moves. Furthermore, it’s completely immune to Ground-type attacks, so you should avoid that approach.
Decidueye has a powerful Ability that players should keep in mind. The Long Reach Ability lets Decidueye use physical attacks without touching their opponents. This is a great way to prevent effects like Paralysis from some Electric-type Pokemon with Static.
As expected from previous 7-Star Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Decidueye has a varied moveset. This includes Grass, Ghost, and Flying-type attacks alongside a Fighting-type coverage move. Considering additional attacks, players need moves to debuff Swords Dance and Feather Dance if they don’t want to get squashed by Decidueye.
As with the Walking Wake Tera Raid Battle event, Electric-type Pokemon sound like a solid option. Pokemon Violet players are in luck because Miraidon can take Decidueye’s STAB Grass and Flying-type moves thanks to its dual Electric and Dragon typing.
Iron Hands is another great choice that can take neutral damage from Decidueye’s attacks and has decent defense stats. Other great counters include Bellibolt, Kilowatrell, and Magnezone.
Now you’re ready to face this challenging Decidueye Tera Raid Battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
