Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 is the last seasonal update before Black Ops 6, and it’s set to add two new weapons to both games – including the DTIR 30-06.

This new Battle Rifle is lethal at long-range and is aiming to go toe-to-toe with other meta guns like the STG44 and TAQ Eradicator that dominated much of Season 5.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to unlock the DTIR 30-06 in MW3 and Warzone.

How to get DTIR 30-06 in MW3 & Warzone

You can unlock the DTIR 30-06 by completing Sector 6 of the Season 6 Battle Pass once it goes live in MW3 and Warzone on September 18. As always, there will be four sub-rewards to claim before you can earn the new Battle Rifle, so you’ll need a total of five BP Tokens to earn it.

The good news is that new guns are free rewards, so you can easily unlock it and begin leveling it up, even if you don’t plan on purchasing the full Battle Pass.

The DTIR arrives as part of The Haunting season in both games.

If you’re wondering whether or not it’s worth grinding for this “hard-hitting” rifle, the devs have provided a detailed description that reveals how to get the most out of it.

“Its slow fire rate helps you conserve ammo and stay on target, inflicting heavy damage with each shot,” they said in the Season 6 blog. “Throw on a scope to keep enemies at a distance, bulk up its ammo reserves with a larger magazine, and improve its handling speeds with an assortment of ergonomic designs.”

Only time will tell if the DTIR 30-06 will have what it takes to overthrow the current meta guns, but new weapons are usually powerful when they first arrive, so don’t be surprised to see it dominating lobbies once Season 6 rolls around.

Either way, it’s well worth unlocking, as it’ll carry over to the new iteration of Warzone when it integrates with Black Ops 6 in Season 1.
