Pokemon Scarlet and Violet brought several new exciting additions and Glimmora is one of the most sought-after among them. So, here’s all about its weaknesses, resistances, strengths, and best moveset to use Glimmora like a pro.

Glimmora is one of those Pokemon that can change the tide of a battle and so, Scarlet and Violet players are eager to add this new Gen 9 species to their teams.

Here are all the details on the weaknesses, resistances, and strengths of Glimmora to ensure this Pokemon becomes a threat to your opponents.

All Glimmora weaknesses explained in Pokemon

Glimmora is weak to Ground, Psychic, Steel, and Water-type attacks in Pokemon.

As a Rock/Poison-type Pokemon, it is 4x weak to Ground-type moves. Its main use in battles is to set up hazards like Rocks or Toxic Spikes, and is best to arm with the Held Item Focus Sash so that it can survive even an OHKO move with one HP and throw hazards stress-free.

All Glimmora resistances explained in Pokemon

Glimmora resists Bug, Fairy, Fire, Flying, Normal, and Poison-type moves in Pokemon.

It is decently bulky, so Glimmora can take hits from these Pokemon types and poison them with Toxic, gradually reducing their HP each turn. Facing them also gives Glimmora an excellent opportunity to set up hazards, especially when used in the mid or late-battle.

Glimmora strengths explained in Pokemon

Glimmora deals super-effective damage to Bug, Fairy, Fire, Flying, Grass, and Ice-type Pokemon with its STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) attacks.

Additionally, its abilities, Toxic Debris and Corrosion, are a menace to opponents. With Toxic Debris, Glimmora can set up Toxic Spikes on the opponent’s side of the battlefield each time it’s hit by a Physical move.

So, when a Pokemon uses the usual Earthquake on Glimmora to exploit its 4x weakness, the next opponent coming into battle is sure to get poisoned, unless it’s a Poison or Steel-type. Do keep in mind that Toxic Debris will not work if Glimmora is hit by a Special move.

Its other ability, Corrosion, made popular by Salazzle in Gen 7, can help Glimmora poison even Steel and Poison types, which it normally cannot.

Best Glimmora moves in Pokemon

The best moves for Glimmora in Pokemon are Stealth Rock, Mortal Spin, Earth Power, and Dazzling Gleam.

  • Stealth Rock is one of the most useful moves in the meta as it sets up hazards on the opponent’s side, Whenever an opposing Pokemon switches in, it takes chip damage, with those weak to Rock-types losing more HP.
  • Mortal Spin is incredibly useful as it poisons the opponent and removes any hazards they might have set up on your side.
  • With a high 130 Special Attack stat, Glimmora can hit pretty hard with Earth Power, even threatening Steel-types.
  • Just like Earth Power, Dazzling Gleam is another great coverage move as it can throw the powerful Dragon-type Pokemon off-guard.
