Pokemon Go Primal Rumblings Special Research is live for players around the world and here’s every task and reward ahead of the Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn event.

A week ahead of the Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn event that will roll up globally, players can now take part in the Primal Rumblings Special Research. After Go Tour events centered around the Kanto and Johto regions, it’s finally time to celebrate Hoenn and its exclusive Pokemon.

Here you’ll find everything you need to know about the Pokemon Go Primal Rumblings Special Research, its tasks, and its rewards.

Pokemon Go Primal Rumblings Special Research tasks

The Primal Rumblings Special Research in Pokemon Go has two stages:

Stage 1

• Catch 5 Water, Electric, or Bug-type Pokemon – 20 Pinap Berries
• Catch 5 Fire, Grass, or Ground-type Pokemon – 20 Razz Berries
• Catch 10 Pokemon originally discovered in the Hoenn region – 3 Golden Razz Berries

Rewards: 2023 XP and 2023 Stardust

Stage 2

• Complete 5 Field Research tasks – 10 Poke Balls
• Power up Pokemon 10 times – 5 Great Balls
• Make 5 Great Curveball Throws – 1 Star Piece

Rewards: 2023 XP, 2023 Stardust, and 1 Event Ticket

Pokemon Go Primal Rumblings Special Research rewards explained

Completing both stages of the Pokemon Go Primal Rumblings Special Research will grant players XP, Stardust, and one ticket for the global Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn event running on February 25 and February 26.

The Event Ticket gives players access to all the different bonuses that’ll be available during that weekend. Niantic hasn’t announced these bonuses yet, but players will be able to see them next to Field and Special Research quests during the event.

With the Event Ticket, players will also get to choose one of the two available teams in Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn – Ruby or Sapphire. Every hour during the event weekend, the team that completes the most Field Research task will influence spawns and Raid Bosses for all players.

Make sure you complete every task in the Primal Rumblings Special Research as soon as you can to enjoy the bonuses, spawns, and special Raids featuring Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre.
