Pokemon Go: Primal Groudon & Kyogre release date
The Pokemon CompanyPokemon Go players will soon have the opportunity to get Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon as the Hoenn Legendary Pokemon make their way to the game. Here’s what you need to know, including their release date.
Pokemon Go fans have a lot to look forward to in 2023 with the Hoenn Tour taking place in Las Vegas. In addition to exciting events, Pokemon Go players will soon be able to experience Primal Reversion as Kyogre and Groudon take on new forms.
These two Legendary Pokemon from the Hoenn region will be available in Pokemon Go. Thanks to Primal Energy in Pokemon Go, players will be able to experience the full force of Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre.
Let’s find out when both Groudon and Kyogre will make their way to Pokemon Go.
When are Primal Groudon & Primal Kyogre coming to Pokemon Go?
Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre will arrive in Pokemon Go during the Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn Global between February 25, 2023, and February 26, 2023.
However, Pokemon Go players who attend the Las Vegas event of the Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn from February 18, 2023, to February 19, 2023, can encounter Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre early via Primal Raids.
How to get Primal Kyogre & Groudon in Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go players will need to collect Primal Energy to activate Primal Reversion and get Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon in Pokemon Go.
You can gather Primal Energy by completing Primal Raids which will be available during Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn.
Once you earn enough Primal Energy through Primal Raids, you can enact Primal Reversion. After Primal Reversion is activated, Groudon and Kyogre will maintain their Primal forms for eight hours.
Primal Energy is necessary each time you wish to enable the Primal Reversion process, which means you’ll need an ample amount. However, less Primal Energy will be required after each Primal Reversion.
Pokemon Go players will also have the chance to secure Primal Energy by completing Primal Surge Field Research during the Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn event.
Using Primal Kyogre’s signature Origin Pulse attack and Primal Groudon’s Precipice Blade will be a satisfying sight in Pokemon Go, so you won’t want to miss the event.
