A new Pokemon Go event is live where players can tackle a new Special Research centered around the Routes features and Mateo, the new NPC. Here are all the ‘A Route to New Friendships’ tasks and rewards.

The Timeless Travels season of Pokemon Go is here, and players have lots to do while exploring their surroundings for new Pokemon. The first event of the season, Along the Routes, is also here to introduce players to a new NPC they can meet while exploring Routes in the mobile game.

Mateo can exchange Gifts with players all around the world, as he debuted alongside a new Special Research that fans can claim this season.

Explore 1km – Lillipup encounter
Spin 3 PokeStops – 900 XP
Earn a Candy exploring with your buddy – 5x Razz Berry
Exchange a Gift with Mateo – 1x Incense

Completion rewards: 1000 Stardust and 1000 XP

Players can meet Mateo after exploring Routes to exchange Gifts.

Catch 7 Pokemon – 10x Poke Ball
Spin 5 PokeStops – 1500 XP
Explore 3 km – Wooloo encounter
Walk 1,000m while traveling Routes – Woobat encounter

Completion rewards: 1000 Stardust and 5 Great Balls

Hatch an Egg – Feebas encounter
Spin 15 PokeStops – 2000 XP
Complete 5 Field Research tasks – 1000 Stardust
Exchange 3 Gifts with Mateo – Hisuian Sneasel encounter
