Honkai Star Rail has been a huge success since its initial release, and PlayStation fans are wondering if they’ll be able to join the action. Here’s everything we know about Honkai Star Rail on PS5 and PS4.

Honkai Star Rail is the latest release from the team that brought you Genshin Impact, and the free-to-play gacha game has built a healthy fanbase since arriving in April 2023. Millions of players are hunting for the best builds and tracking down necessary resources to level up their characters.

Currently, the game is only available for those on PC, iOS, and Android platforms, leaving PlayStation players wondering if Honkai Star Rail is going to drop on their consoles too, like Genshin before it.

Will Honkai Star Rail be on PS5 & PS4?

HoYoverse have confirmed that Honkai Star Rail will be released on PlayStation consoles in the future. However, the developers have not provided a concrete release date for the game on PS5 and PS4.

This assurance came during the Special Program dedicated to the game where HoYoverse provided a sneak peek at the free-to-play title running on the PS5, showing that the port is in active development. Although it’s worth keeping in mind that this was early footage, so there’s no way of knowing how far along it is.

For now, Honkai Star Rail can only be experienced on iOS, Android, and PC. But PlayStation players will be interested to know that the game supports cross-progression, allowing those on PC, Android, and iOS to maintain the same account across these platforms.

This means that when the game eventually lands on PS5 and PS4, you may be able to hit the ground running if you’ve already leveled up characters and picked up plenty of resources, provided you log in with the same account.

Of course, this is just speculation for now, as there’s no way of knowing whether the PS5 and PS4 versions of Honkai Star Rail will feature the same cross-platform support.
