Will The Finals be on PlayStation & Xbox?

The Finals beta has been well-received so far.
The Finals is an upcoming FPS that’s generating plenty of hype among PC players, but will there be a console version? Here’s everything we know so far about The Finals on PlayStation and Xbox.
There’s no shortage of FPS titles for players to choose from, whether it’s established, long-term franchises like Call of Duty or relative newcomers like Apex Legends or Valorant. The Finals is another fresh face set to arrive very soon, looking to place more emphasis on competitive play than its rivals.
While other games in the genre have their own modes for more hardcore players, such as Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play, The Finals puts competitive action at the forefront of a “combat-centered game show.”
With The Finals beta going live on PC, console gamers are wondering if they can hop in to try out his ambitious new shooter. Here’s everything you need to know about The Finals on PlayStation and Xbox.
Will The Finals be on console?
Developers Embark Studios have confirmed that The Finals will be on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S when the final game is released. That being said, The Finals is being developed for the current generation of hardware, so there won’t be a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version.
The free-to-play FPS was originally announced for PC, but console players will also be able to join the action on day one. However, The Finals beta taking place in March 2023 remains PC exclusive, and can only be accessed by signing up on Steam.

There is currently no official release date for The Finals, so there’s no telling how long console players will have to wait before trying the game for the first time. At the time of writing, the Steam page for the game says it’s “coming soon,” while there is no listing for the Finals on the PlayStation or Xbox stores.
But with the first beta going live in March, we’d expect the final launch to arrive later in 2023. As the devs look for more player feedback, there’s also every chance they will hold another beta on PlayStation and Xbox, but this is also just speculation for now.
Either way, those with consoles can rest assured that they’ll be able to hop into The Finals at the same time as PC players when the final version is ready, as the game tries to revolutionize the multiplayer arena shooter genre.
