How to sell ships in Starfield

Starfield’s progression encourages you to upgrade your ships from time to time in hopes of getting ones with more carrying capacity, speed, and weapons. If you want to know how to get rid of useless ships in your inventory and earn some valuable Credits, here’s how to sell ships in Starfield.

Ships are your primary mode of transportation in Starfield’s vast universe since you need them to travel to and fro various star systems and fight any space pirates in your way. Bethesda have implemented a detailed ship-building system with there are dedicated vendors that sell ship parts and upgrades.

This means that getting better ships and replacing the old ones can easily be a never-ending process in Starfield. Since you can only own ten ships at the same time, selling the models that no longer fulfill your needs for Credits is a wise strategy.

So, here’s how you can sell ships in Starfield and earn a ton of Credits in the process.

Starfield: How to sell ships

To sell a ship in Starfield, simply talk to a Ship Services vendor located in any of the major cities and spaceports in the game. Pick the dialogue option to buy a ship before switching over to the ship-selling menu.

After this, choose the ship you’d like to sell using the corresponding button located on the bottom right.
A popup displaying the credits you’ll receive will appear. Confirm your selection to successfully sell your ship.

Before heading over to a vendor, it’s important to note that you need to own more than one ship as you cannot sell your home ship.

Ships in Starfield can be sold after selecting the ‘ships for sale’ dialogue option.

Starfield: How to sell stolen ships
