The Black Ops 6 beta is the first real showcase for Omnimovement and what it can bring to the CoD franchise. But after seeing it in action, Warzone players are split, with many fearing it could “ruin” the battle royale.

Omnimovement completely overhauls the way players get around the map, allowing them to sprint, slide, and dive in all directions, pulling off some impressive moves in the process. It’s not just limited to multiplayer though, as the system is coming to Warzone when it integrates with Black Ops 6.

But after seeing the new movement on display during the first weekend of the beta, fans are divided over whether it will be a welcome addition.

Reddit user ‘StackzzDaddy’ kickstarted the debate, posting that they think Omnimovement is going to “completely ruin Warzone.” They said: “It’s so unrealistic looking. People are doing like somersaults through the air and diving in every direction.”

Plenty of others agreed with the OP, with even those who prefer the extra mobility in multiplayer expressing concerns about how it will translate. “I like omnimovement but I have to agree, I think Warzone is f****d when Black Ops 6 integrates,” said one reply, while another suggested that “sliding and diving need cooldowns.”

Some players even criticized Warzone updating every year to match the latest release, with players arguing that it should remain “its own game” with its own systems and mechanics.

However, after getting a taste of the new movement in Black Ops 6, some players were excited about the feature making the jump to Warzone and claimed it’s hard to play without it.

“Nope, not with ya on this one. I have been playing beta and when I went back to Warzone I was like ‘wtf.’ I need omnimovement back,” said a more positive reply, while another added: “I played Warzone today without omnimovement and it was boring.”

Those in support of the system praised the increased skill gap it’s likely to bring, rewarding those who take the time to master it instead of making it a completely level playing field.

We won’t have too long to wait before we get an answer, as Black Ops 6 is set to integrate with Warzone in Season 1, bringing with it plenty of powerful weapons and a host of other gameplay changes.
