Abigail in Stardew Valley

Each NPC, including Abigail, in Stardew Valley has special interests, likes, and ways that you can become good friends with them or even romance them. Here is everything you need to know about romancing Abigail.

Abigail is one of Stardew Valley fans’ favorite characters. Her characteristic purple hair and strange interest in crystals are only some of the things to like about her, though, as there is so much more to discover

Becoming friends (or more) with Abigail can take some time and effort. You need to know her likes and dislikes, her schedule, and how to romance her. Never fear, as we have all the answers you need here.

Abigail’s basic info in Stardew Valley

Abigail is a romanceable NPC in Stardew Valley, and the daughter of Pierre and Caroline.

Here is all the basic info you need to know about Abigail:

  • Birthday: Fall 13
  • Lives in: Pelican Town
  • Home address: Pierre’s General Store
  • Clinic visit day: Spring 4

Abigail is one of the younger people living in Pelican Town and is friends with Sebastian and Sam. She’s also the drummer for the band that they have together.

Best gifts for Abigail in Stardew Valley

Abigail, like all other Stardew Valley NPCs, has a variety of items that she likes and dislikes as gifts. Some of the best ones to give her include Chocolate Cake, Amethyst, and Pumpkin

Abigail and Caroline in Stardew Valley
You can give NPCs gifts to earn friendship points.

Here is a comprehensive list of how she would react to all gifts:

  • Loves: Amethyst, Banana Pudding, Blackberry Cobbler, Chocolate Cake, Pufferfish, Pumpkin, Spicy Eel.
  • Likes: Quartz
  • Neutral: All milk, Chanterelle, Common Mushroom, Daffodil, Dandelion, Ginger, Hazelnut, Leek, Magma Cap, Morel, Purple Mushroom, Snow Yam, Winter Root.
  • Dislikes: All eggs, Sugar, Wild Horseradish.
  • Hates: Clay, Holly.

Gifting items NPCs love and like are the primary way to get them to trust you and share more of their lives with you. So, if you want to befriend Abigail, make sure you make the effort to give her a gift.

You can give characters gifts twice a week, and once on their birthday. Giving Abigail gifts she loves on her birthday will give you eight times the usual friendship points you would gain and has a unique dialogue.

At the movies

If you decide to go against JojaMart and fix up the Community Center by completing the Junimo bundles, then a movie theater will appear in place of Joja when you have finished. You can take NPCs here on dates, and they have specific likes and dislikes for movies and concessions.

Here are Abigail’s favorite movies, along with everything she doesn’t like so much:

  • Loves: It Howls In The Rain, Mysterium
  • Likes: Journey Of The Prairie King: The Motion Picture, Natural Wonders: Exploring Our Vibrant World, The Brave Little Sapling, Wumbus
  • Dislikes: The Miracle At Coldstar Ranch, The Zuzu City Express

For concessions at the movies, Abigail likes or loves everything except Black Licorice, Hummus Snack Pack, Jasmine Tea, Joja Cola, JojaCorn, Kale Smoothie, and Panzanella Salad.

Abigail’s heart events in Stardew Valley

You can romance Abigail in Stardew Valley by giving her a bouquet and a Mermaid Pendant once you reach the applicable heart levels.

If you play your cards right, you can marry Abigail.

Increasing your friendship points with Abigail means you’ll get special heart events that are unique to her.

Once you reach eight hearts with Abigail, you can buy a bouquet from Pierre’s store and gift them to her. This will officially start your relationship. Once you reach ten hearts with her, you can buy a Mermaid Pendant on a rainy day from the Old Marimer at the Tidal Pools on the beach and ask her to marry you.

Here is how you can make sure you get each heart event when you reach the applicable level of friendship:

Two Hearts

  • Enter Pierre’s General Store when Abigail is there on any day except Saturday.

Four Hearts

  • Visit the mountain between noon and 7pm on a rainy day, any season except Winter.

Six Hearts

  • Between 9pm and midnight on a day when it is not raining, enter Pelican Town from any direction.

Eight Hearts

  • After receiving a letter from Abigail, enter Pierre’s General Store between 8pm and 10pm when she’s there.
  • Make sure that you wait in Caroline’s greenhouse and trigger the event by exiting to the kitchen, because you can’t enter Pierre’s store otherwise unless you have the key to Pelican Town.

Ten Hearts

  • Enter the mines or the Quarry Mine between 5pm and midnight. Note that this event won’t trigger if you’ve already given her the Mermaid’s Pendant.

Fourteen Hearts

  • Enter the Backwoods between 6:10am and 5pm.
