Truffle in Stardew Valley

Truffles are a great way to go if you’re looking to produce high-value items on your Stardew Valley farm. If you want to know how to get them, here’s everything you need to do.

Stardew Valley allows players to adopt a small amount of farm animals that produce precious resources. Depending on their mood and the season, they will often give you materials for you to craft high-value Artisan Goods.

Truffles aren’t the exception, although they might be a little bit trickier to get since only one animal can spawn them. If you’re wondering how to get Truffles in Stardew Valley, here’s everything you need to know.

What is the easiest way to get Truffles in Stardew Valley?

The faster way for you to get Truffles in Stardew Valley is to purchase them at The Traveling Cart, although they sell for up to 3,125 g. However, if you want a steady supply of Truffles, you’ll need to adopt pigs and keep them on your farm. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Upgrade your Big Barn to a Deluxe Barn, the final upgrade. To do so, you’ll need to gather 550x Wood and 300x Stones and give them to Robin, the Town’s Carpenter, for her to upgrade it in two days.
  2. If you don’t have a Barn, you can also build a Deluxe Barn from scratch by paying Robin 43,000g and also providing her 1350x Wood and 650x Stone.
  3. Go to Marnie’s Ranch and buy pigs for 16,000g.
  4. You’ll need to wait for 10 nights for a pigglet to grow, and once matured, they’ll start producing Truffle every day.

Pigs will spawn Truffles in the tile right in front of them.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to let your pig roam freely outside the barn, and keep it happy and well-feed for it to produce Truffles. Remember that they won’t go outside during Winter, or if it’s raining, so you won’t produce any during that time.
