Warzone’s original map, Verdansk, is beloved by many and the community have been calling for it to make a return. Here’s why one of the most reputable leakers believes it will be making a comeback.

With Modern Warfare 3 about to drop, and players getting to explore parts of Warzone’s original map Verdansk in the campaign, players are eager to find out what’s in store for the battle royale once the integration takes place.

Fortnite has experienced incredible success with its latest season, which is mainly due to the fact that the OG map was brought back to the game, a move that has ultimately carried unprecedented numbers to the servers.

Fortnite’s Season OG, along with the appearance of Verdansk in MW3’s campaign has led to many wondering when and if Verdansk will ever return to Warzone.

We know a new map, Urzikstan, will arrive with the MW3 Warzone integration, as well as confirmation that Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep would also make their way to Warzone, but what about the original BR map?

Warzone leaker explains why Verdansk could return

In response to an X post highlighting Verdansk in the MW3 campaign, reputable leaker TheGhostOfHope shared their thoughts on why they believe the map is returning, even sharing their “biggest reason to believe this map is coming back to Warzone.”

The leaker said the “biggest reason” to believe Verdansk will return to Warzone is because the developers “took time out of their day to replace all those random a** houses that were in Warzone.” The leaker even goes as far as to say, “It’s coming back and I’d bet real money on it being 2024s map.”

The idea is that since the devs took the time to replace small details of Verdansk for the campaign, it’s highly possible that they have done so as it will be returning to Warzone. However, nothing has been confirmed and this is all just speculation and theorizing, so take it with a pinch of salt.

As of now, the dev team hasn’t shared anything about a return for Verdansk, but as Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep are both being brought to Warzone, there’s no doubt that they could do the same for the beloved original battle royale map.
