Epic were teasing the return to the Chapter 1 map for weeks.

Fortnite OG has transported the game back to the Chapter 1 Season 5 map. This was first teased by an image shared by the devs showing the date July 12, 2018, which is the date that Season 5 began.

This means that all of the locations found in Chapter 4 Season 4 have been left behind in favor of a completely new set of POIs. What’s more, leaks suggest a completely new map will replace it when Chapter 5 starts.

While Fortnite OG began on the Season 5 map, it’s slowly working through the seasons with regular updates before reportedly ending with the infamous black hole that concluded Chapter 1. So, the map will undergo plenty of changes during Chapter 4 Season 5.
