What is Vondel in Warzone 2? New map found in datamine

A major Warzone 2 leak gave players a first look at a new map known as Vondel for the Call of Duty title, and we’ll break down everything that has been revealed about this new location.

With Season 3 Reloaded finally here, the Warzone 2 developers have updated the game with a ton of new content that players are hopping in to check out, such as new weapons like the FTAC Siege Machine Pistol, GS Magna Desert Eagle, and Throwing Star.

Now, the Warzone 2 community is already looking ahead to the next major content drop and wondering what the developers have planned next. Thanks to a leak, players were given a look at a brand-new map called Vondel.

What is Vondel in Warzone 2?

According to leaks, Vondel is a Resurgence map that’s set in the Netherlands. Back in April, notable leakers ‘TaskForceLeak’ revealed in a leak that it will be the next map to arrive in Warzone 2. However, they didn’t reveal more information about it.

On May 10, a leak showed players the first image of the Vondel map before it was taken down because of DMCA. The image showed an urban residential area and a windmill that stands next to a river. This location is very different from the sandy Al Mazrah map.

Vondel is not the Warzone map for this fall, it’s releasing sooner 😉

Warzone 2 Vondel expected release date

The developers have not revealed when exactly Vondel is set to arrive in Warzone 2. However, new maps are usually added at the start of a new season, so we could see it arrive when Season 4 begins on June 14, 2023.

Of course, this is all speculation based on leaks, so it’s worth taking this release date with a grain of salt. It’s entirely possible that Vondel may be added to Warzone 2 at a much later point. At the time of writing, we have no way to be sure.

We’ll just have to wait for to Activision provide more information about Vondel. As soon as they announce the confirmed release date for the map and reveal official images, we’ll be sure to let you know.
