Assault Rifles are already dominating Warzone 2 thanks to their solid damage, low recoil, and versatility. We’ve ranked every Season 1 Assault Rifle from best to worst, and counted down the top five ARs you can use in Al Mazrah.
If you’re looking for a versatile but deadly weapon class to use in Warzone 2, look no further than the Assault Rifles. Weapons such as the Kastov-74u and STB 556 were quickly recognized as dominant choices in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, but you’ll need to look for different attributes when considering what to bring to Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah.
We’ve taken all nine Warzone 2 Assault Rifles and sorted them into a ranked list and counted down the top five choices so you know the best weapon for every play style and situation.
Best Warzone 2 Assault Rifles ranked list
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 launched with nine Assault Rifles so we’ve ranked every AR in ascending order so you know which to prioritize unlocking and leveling up:
- Kastov 762
- Kastov 545
Best Warzone 2 Assault Rifles
It’s almost impossible to go wrong with the classic M4 Assault Rifle in Warzone 2, we just can’t rank it above any of the other options in this list because it’s more of a jack of all trades, master of none.
The M4 will serve you well in almost any situation, having low recoil and decent bullet velocity which result in a fast TTK. It’s extremely easy to use, and the perfect weapon for players who are just starting out.
While the M13B doesn’t quite pack the same punch as the original Warzone’s version, it’s still a very powerful weapon.
With low recoil and a fast fire rate, the M13B is an incredibly forgiving weapon that kills enemies fast as well. Whether you’re trying to beam far-away players or rip someone off a head glitch, you’ll find the M13B a great choice.
3. Kastov 762
Both the RPK and Vaznev-9k have been quickly picking up traction as the best in their class, and Warzone 2’s Kastov 762 acts as a versatile middle ground between the two.
The Kastov 762 can be built almost any way you want, serving you as either a long-range beamer or mobile Sniper Support. Its only downside is it’s one of the most bouncy weapons in the top five Assault Rifles, but those bullets hit hard.
What makes Warzone 2’s Kastov-74u so powerful is that it’s the perfect hybrid between an Assault Rifle and SMG.
Boasting more mobility and a faster time to kill than a traditional Assault Rifle but more range than an SMG, there’s no better weapon to pair with a Sniper Rifle such as the Victus XMR. Just build the Kastov-74u for mobility and you’ll be almost unstoppable at close to medium range.
1. TAQ-56 – Best Assault Rifle in Warzone
The TAQ-56 includes an element of what makes every other Assault Rifle great, combining them into the perfect package. Whether you’re going for a more mobile iron sight build or equipping a scope for those longer-range fights, you’ll be killing players with ease.
The TAQ-56 is slightly harder to use than the Lachmann-556 and M13B but the damage you’ll be dishing out makes for a worthwhile trade.
