Call of Duty officially announced that Season 4 Reloaded will bring back a beloved movement Field Upgrade to Warzone 2’s Vondel.

Call of Duty has revealed all the content of Season 4 Reloaded that will arrive on July 12 in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, and announced the return of a potential gameplay game-changer for Vondel, the Portable Redeploy Drones.

Although it’s unclear whether it will be limited to Resurgence or if it will also be available in the Vondel Battle Royale mode, the devs confirmed it won’t be available for DMZ.

This Field Upgrade has been a fan-favorite since its first introduction in the original Warzone as Redeploy Balloons and later in Warzone 2 Season 2 and Season 3 for Ashika Island and Al Mazrah.

According to the blog, this Field Upgrade will “help you ascend high above structures,” allowing the player to decide when to jump out of the drone, which could be at any time or once it reaches its maximum height.

The Portable Deploy Drone is useful for more efficient and fast positioning of the player on the map. You can either avoid confrontations and take cover to survive until the end of the game, or you can use it to move around the map quickly looking for enemies to attack.

The Redeploy Drones’ popularity has grown due to the great utility they provide.

How do Warzone Portable Redeploy Drones work?

As mentioned above, the Portable Redeploy Drone is a Field Upgrade in Warzone that allows the player to launch themselves into the air and open their parachute to reposition.

Players can find them from various sources across the map, such as enemy bags, loot caches, and more.

Unlike Personal Redeploy Drones in the past, the Portable Redeploy Drone can only be used by a single player. Players can relocate to a safe area after a short period if they are within the circle collapse, although after multiple circle collapses have occurred, all drones will go out of commission.

All in all, if you need a fast means of transportation, this Field Upgrade will be a very handy tool for Vondel.
