Sources: Warzone 2 Season 4 brings new Vondel map

Sources revealed that Warzone 2 Season 4 is set to introduce players to a brand-new map called Vondel. With the Warzone 2 Season 4 update right around the corner, here’s what you should know about Vondel.

Warzone 2 launched with one map back in 2022 as players took to Al Mazrah to discover the massive battleground. Then, Season 2 introduced players to Ashika Island, a smaller Warzone 2 map that featured Resurgence mechanics.

Therefore, it only makes sense that Season 4 is expected to introduce yet another map to the Warzone 2 rotation. According to sources, the Warzone 2 Season 4 update arriving on June 14 will bring with it a brand-new map called Vondel.

Sources tell CharlieIntel that Vondel is set in the Netherlands, which matches earlier rumors of Warzone 2’s potential new map. The map is said to be developed by Beenox, who worked on a number of Warzone maps including the popular Rebirth Island.

Season 04 begins June 14th and will include the new Warzone map Vondel, which is set in Netherlands and is developed by Beenox, per sources. Map will have Resurgence support to start. More info to come 👀

CharlieIntel’s Tweet on May 31 indicates that Vondel will arrive with Resurgence support when it’s expected to arrive on June 14.

In addition, CharlieIntel had this to say about the new map: “Vondel should also have support for Battle Royale mode at some point after its launch, per sources, and it would be the first time there is two Battle Royale maps in rotation in Warzone.”

The map will reportedly take players to the Netherlands, a familiar location for Call of Duty fans. In Modern Warfare 2’s campaign, a popular mission called Tradecraft took players to Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Sources also confirmed to CharlieIntel that: “Vondel should also support DMZ at some point.” This is exciting news for fans of DMZ as Vondel could prove to be a major new area to explore.
