Warzone 2 Season 4 introduces players to a brand-new limited-time mode, Lockdown. Here’s how the new LTM works.

Warzone 2 Season 4 brought exciting content to the battle royale, from brand-new weapons to an exciting new map, Vondel, which takes the battle to a European-style city.

The new Vondel map was arguably the most exciting new content for Warzone 2 Season 4, as it gave players a new battleground to explore and make memories in. The map is bigger than Ashika Island but smaller than Al Mazrah, and it also hosts the beloved Resurgence mode.

A few weeks after the Season 4 update, the map is also now home to the brand-new Lockdown LTM, so for those interested in this new mode, here are all of the details you need to know.

What is Lockdown in Warzone 2? LTM explained

Lockdown is a new limited-time mode that arrived in Warzone 2 Season 4 for the new map, Vondel. The mode is exclusive to the new map Vondel, meaning you won’t be able to play this new LTM on any other of Warzone 2’s maps.

The new LTM, Lockdown, is “inspired by the Multiplayer mode Hardpoint,” as it sees teams of four capturing and holding down zones around Vondel to win the game rather than being the last squad standing.

Lockdown is an objective-based battle royale mode where players will need to stick together and gain points by holding down zones in a large-scale version of Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer’s Hardpoint. The mode is said to “roughly last about double the time of a traditional Hardpoint match.”

It’s also important to note that Custom Loadouts will be available from the start, so choose your classes wisely.

When is Lockdown available in Warzone 2?

The new Warzone 2 Season 4 Lockdown LTM for Vondel is available as of June 28, 2023. While the new mode was included in the Season 4 blog, Lockdown made its way to the Warzone 2 playlist on June 28.

While the Call of Duty blog claimed that the mode would be part of the launch playlist rotation for Warzone 2 Season 4, it only arrived later on.

We don’t yet have a date for when Lockdown will be removed, but we expect this limited-time mode to be available for around two weeks in Season 4.
