Here’s Warzone 2 expert and content creator Metaphor’s “best AR” loadout in the game, which is a weapon that has seen a lot of changes and even nerfs in the past to reduce its power.

Warzone 2 has many weapons, and while many will use Snipers, LMGs, and SMGs, arguably the most popular weapon category is Assault Rifles.

This is mainly because of their versatility, being used for both long, medium, and even close-ranged engagements in some cases. That said, updates bring buffs and nerfs, leaving the meta open to less popular choices.

Since the July 24 update, the Lachmann-556, M4, and TAQ-56 were all nerfed, leaving the Assault Rifle meta open to a weapon that popular YouTuber and Warzone 2 expert Metaphor believes is now “the best AR” in the game.

The weapon in question is the Kastov 762, also known as Warzone 2’s version of the classic AK-47. This weapon has increased in popularity greatly since other AR options were nerfed, and despite the weapon being tweaked and nerfed itself in past updates, it has risen to the top once again, as Metaphor claims the weapon is “back.”

For those interested in taking advantage of the Kastov 762, Metaphor has shared his loadout for the weapon in Warzone 2.

Barrel: KAS-10 584mm Barrel
Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
Rear Grip: Demo-X2 Grip
Stock: KSTV-RPK Factory
Optic: Cronen Mini Pro

Kicking off Metaphor‘s Warzone 2 Kastov 762 loadout is the KAS-10 584mm Barrel, which greatly increases the weapons damage range and bullet velocity, while also providing some recoil control.

The ZLR Talon 5 muzzle also improves damage range and bullet velocity further, making this weapon an absolute monster at range.

To improve recoil and aiming stability, the KSTV-RPK Factory stock is a great choice, while the Demo-X2 Grip provides some further recoil control.

Lastly, you’ll want a nice clean optic, so Metaphor goes for the Cronen Mini Pro, but you can use whatever your preference is for the sights.

If you’re playing in squads, you’ll want to replace the Stock for the 40 Round Magazine. This may mean you’ll have to control the recoil some more, but it’s definitely worth it for the ten extra bullets. Metaphor pairs this loadout with the Lachmann Sub for those close-ranged engagements.

Despite having a slower fire rate and some strong recoil, the Kastov 762 has an incredibly fast TTK thanks to its high damage. This build reduces some of that recoil, and once you’re to the weapon you’ll be able to control it and dominate lobbies in no time.
