The Aim OP-V4 has become the go-to optic for Warzone 2 players and it shows up in most of the meta builds shared by creators. However, CoD guru IceManIsaac has revealed a different sight that is so “broken” that many of the game’s best players are adopting it.

Warzone 2 players are always looking for a way to gain the upper hand on their opponents, whether it’s running one of the game’s best weapons or making use of the handy Field Upgrades and Equipment littered around the map.

Sometimes one attachment can be the difference between victory and defeat, and fans spend hours swapping and tuning their builds. Optics are especially important, as they improve accuracy in vital gunfights, and, for the most part, the Aim OP-V4 has become the go-to sight for Assault Rifles and LMGs.

However, Warzone 2 expert IceManIsaac has revealed that there is a “game-breaking” optic that is being slept on by most players.

In his August 1 video, Isaac was breaking down a number of alternatives to the Aim OP-V4, and he explained that the Schalger Night View is “so broken” that many Top 250 players in Ranked Play have been using it.

This is mainly due to the optic’s ability to use thermal to see through smoke, highlighting enemies to make them easy to pick off even in tricky situations. He was particularly impressed with how it worked on Sniper Rifles but explained it’s still very “powerful” on ARs and LMGs in Warzone 2.

“This [optic], in my opinion, breaks the game,” said IceManIsaac, before demonstrating it on the Signal 50. “It’s just such an easy gun to use, it’s such a cheesy technique. I can throw a smoke at my feet and look through the smoke, they can’t see me but I can blitz everyone.”

The YouTuber was especially surprised that the Schalger Night View is allowed in Warzone 2 Ranked Play, which has banned other thermal attachments. He mentioned that he had asked the devs why the optic was still eligible, and they explained that there “needed to be a counter to smokes.”

Only time will tell if the devs decide to ban the Schalger Night View in Rnaked Play later down the line, but IceManIsaac assured players that it is “leaps and bounds” ahead of the Aim OP-V4 in both regular and competitive matches.
