Warzone 2 expert reveals “unreal” close-range option after X13 & Basilisk nerfs

FTAC Siege in Warzone 2Activision

After Season 4 Reloaded’s July 24 X13 & Basilisk nerfs, Warzone 2 expert Metaphor shared the new full-auto Pistol that has claimed its position as the most suitable close-range option in the game.

With the recent update on July 24, Warzone 2 saw intriguing meta changes, including nerfs to popular choices in all ranges like the Cronen Squall, Snakeshot Baslisk, X13 Auto Handgun, and the Lachmann-556.

As a result of these nerfs, multiple players are now questioning which weapon has become the new meta option for close-range combat. The impact of the nerfs extends beyond just the Basilisk and X13 Auto, as the KV Broadside, ISO 45, and MX Guardian also underwent some changes.

Although this update included a minor nerf for the FTAC Siege, Metaphor’s loadout retains the “unreal” advantages of the weapon, allowing it to remain competitive within the previous close-range meta with an extremely good TTK and great mobility, even competing against SMGs.

Metaphor’s Warzone 2 FTAC Siege loadout

  • Laser: 1mw Pistol Laser
  • Barrel: Supertac-VI
  • Underbarrel: Rebel-HX
  • Magazine: 72-Round Drum
  • Ammunition: 9mm Overpressured +P

To begin with Metaphor’s FTAC Siege loadout, the 1mw Pistol laser serves as an excellent attachment for enhancing precision, ensuring accurate shots when engaging targets at close range.

Next, the 72-Round Drum is essential for the FTAC Siege in Warzone 2, as its fire rate is so quick that you’ll need the extra bullets to put enemies down.

As for the Barrel, the Supertac-VI provides an improvement to bullet velocity, damage range, and most importantly, hip-fire accuracy. The Rebel-HX underbarrel does much of the same, allowing you to be much more precise with the weapon.

Finally, the 9mm Overpressured +P allows afflicting the target with an increased flinch, by giving the player an advantage over the enemy, causing their aim to move erratically in all directions.
