Warzone 2 players have highlighted a new Gulag glitch in the battle royale mode which seems to give players an unfair advantage, with one getting a meta weapon while the other is given a mediocre option.

Warzone 2’s Gulag is a unique system in the free-to-play battle royale which gives players a second chance to get back into the match and potentially win.

The Gulag in Warzone 2 sees players enter a 1v1 in which they must win in order to be released back into the map. While many are usually grateful for this second chance, unfortunately, a new Gulag glitch is causing an unfair advantage in the 1v1 fight.

Usually, the two players in the Gulag fight are given the same weapon to make it fair, keeping a level playing field.

However, a new Gulag bug is interrupting the level playing field, as Reddit user FarrOutMan7 shared a clip of them dying to an enemy with a better weapon than the one they were given in the Gulag.

The post is titled “A meta weapon vs Bas P – Because that’s fair isn’t it,” and the clip shows the player losing the Vondel Gulag to an enemy with an ISO 45 when they had a BAS-P.

The ISO 45 currently has a 6.4% pick rate according to wzranked, while the BAS-P’s sits at 0.1%, showing the big difference in popularity, which also helps shape the meta.

The player is killed pretty quickly, despite seemingly getting some good shots off. Clearly, they feel they were hard done by, and the comments under the post agree. One said “Wait, what? Both of you should have the same gun. That is weird,” while another said “never seen that before. thats so weird.”

Some feel the player would have lost the fight “no matter the gun,” as the opponent got the “first shot,” however, most feel that it’s still pretty unfair that the player was given an entirely different gun to the opponent, and one that’s considered less meta as well.

Warzone 2 is not immune to bugs and glitches, so things like this are bound to happen, but players seem pretty frustrated about them, as one player also said “Wtf… the amount of gulag bugs this game has had and still has… unbelievable.”

We’ll have to wait and see if the devs put out a fix for this issue soon. Keep it locked on CharlieIntel to stay updated, but for now, check out FaZe Booya’s fastest movement SMG in Warzone 2 and how to get a Nuke on Vondel.
