The Kar98k is one of the most notorious Sniper Rifles in Warzone history, and CoD expert FaZe Testy has brought the legendary weapon to Warzone 2 using one of the game’s least-used long-range options.

Warzone 2 is packed full of Sniper Rifles for players to use in long-range scenarios, picking off enemies from a distance with well-placed shots. Many Snipers, like the MCPR-300 and Intervention, have become some of the game’s most popular guns, especially after being awarded one-shot capabilities.

But despite the deadly roster of Sniper Rifles in Warzone 2, none come close to the Kar98k. This bolt-action rifle dominated Caldera for months and has gone down as one of the most iconic weapons in the original Warzone.

Now, CoD expert FaZe Testy has brought the Kar98k to Warzone 2 using a Marksman Rifle that most players have abandoned, the SA-B 50.

In a recent video, Testy explained that the SA-B 50 can be built into something resembling the Kar98k, mimicking the same feel that players will remember from Caldera. However, it does come with a major caveat, which could explain its 0.1% pick rate on WZ Ranked.

“It just reminds me of the Kar98 with how fast it is and how satisfying it is to use,” said the YouTuber. “Obviously, it’s not one-shot, which is not the best but it is still so much fun.”

FaZe Testy also shared the loadout of how to turn the SA-B 50 into the Kar98k, check it out below:

FaZe Testy’s SA-B 50 “Kar98k” loadout in Warzone 2

  • Laser: FSS Ole-V Laser
  • Optic: SP-X 80 6.6x
  • Stock: XRK Specter Mod
  • Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip
  • Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt

To bring the Kar98k to life in Warzone 2, FaZe Testy focused his build on speed and mobility to replicate the quick firing that became its trademark in the Caldera days. The XRK Specter Mod and Schlager Match Grip greatly increase movement speed, allowing players to tear around the map quicker compared to regular Snipers.

Then, the FSS Ole-V Laser buffs the ADS speed, ensuring you can snap onto players instantly. Meanwhile, the FSS ST87 Bolt improves the rechambering speed, so you can land shots in quick succession to make the lack of one-shot capability less frustrating.

Finally, the SP-X 80 6.6x optic comes with greater zoom, ideal for picking off enemies from a distance, but this could easily be swapped for your preferred optic.

Although this SA-B 50 loadout doesn’t quite bring back the sheer firepower of the Kar98k, it’s still a fun setup to run. Following the news that Warzone Caldera will be shutting down later this year, this is the perfect to way to keep the original game alive after the servers go offline.
