Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 4 brought the familiar ISO 45 SMG, which first appeared in MW2019. Here’s the new method to unlock the ISO 45 in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5.

Now that Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 has arrived, players can enjoy yet another season of content, including a brand-new Battle Pass with plenty of cosmetics and new weapons to unlock.

The ISO 45 is a powerful SMG that has continued to rise to the top of the meta and continues to impress. For those who’d like to use and take advantage of the weapon, here’s how you can unlock the weapon now that it is no longer available through the Battle Pass.

How to unlock ISO 45 in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2

The ISO 45 first appeared in Modern Warfare 2019.

You can unlock the ISO 45 SMG in both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 by either extracting the weapon from DMZ or completing an unlock challenge that requires players to get 45 Operator kills without taking any damage using SMGs.

Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer is definitely the best place to complete this challenge, and you’ll likely get these 45 kills extremely fast in smaller maps like Shipment and Shoothouse. Or, if you’re a DMZ player, unlocking the weapon is pretty straightforward, as you only need to complete an extraction with it.

The ISO 45 is a returning weapon that appeared in Modern Warfare 2019 and the original Warzone. The devs claim that the “ISO 45 functions similarly to the old ISO, known for its lightweight design and decent fire rate for short- to midrange engagements.”

While it deals more damage-per-bullet than the other fast-firing SMGs, they say you’ll need to “get those shots on target” to find success. Definitely make sure you unlock this weapon if you’re looking for a new SMG to add to your arsenal.
