“Easy to use” Warzone Rifle outguns meta picks with rapid TTK in Season 5

The arrival of Warzone 2‘s Season 5 has delivered a bunch of new content for players to immerse themselves in. This includes the introduction of new weapons like the FR Avancer, Carrack .300, and M13C, the inclusion of celebrity Operators, new modes, and much more.
Since its first iteration, Warzone has boasted a diverse selection of iconic Assault Rifles, encompassing options like the M4 and the AK-47-based Kastov 762, allowing players to wield some of the most cherished firearms in the history of the franchise.
Following the August 16 update, additional shifts were made to the game’s long-range meta, but luckily content creator WhosImmortal has discovered the perfect easy-to-use STB 556 loadout for Warzone 2’s Season 5.
WhosImmortal’s best STB 556 loadout for Warzone 2 Season 5
- Barrel: 508mm Rear Guard
- Muzzle: Harbinger D20
- Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity
- Magazine: 42 Round Mag
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
To kick off WhosImmortal‘s best Warzone 2 STB 556 loadout, he went for the 508mm Rear Guard to improve damage range and bullet velocity, which, combined with the Harbinger D20, boosts bullet velocity and damage range, as well as helping with recoil control.
Then, he opted for the 5.56 High-Velocity ammunition to further enhance bullet velocity, as he considered the gun’s recoil to be “easy” to control, therefore avoiding using an underbarrel.
Finally, he chose the 42 Round magazine to dodge running out of bullets easily and also equipped the Aim OP-V4 optic to detect enemies that are at farther distances, especially on large maps like Al Mazrah.
In his video, WhosImmortal shared he really enjoys using this loadout, despite being “a little underrated and underutilized.” He believes the STB 556 is a versatile “do it all” Rifle that excels in various roles, given its adaptability to multiple configurations. It can serve as a Sniper support, function as a hybrid between an AR and SMG, or be optimized for medium to long-range engagements.
