An excited Pokemon Go player used a Master Ball to catch a rare Galarian Bird only to realize the Legendary wasn’t powerful at all.

Pokemon Go players have lots to do in the mobile game, from catching their favorite species to challenging Legendaries and Ultra Beasts in Raids, battling other trainers, and much more. Every new season brings new events and more Pokemon to the game, and players are always looking to complete their collections with the most powerful creatures out there.

The Galarian Legendary Birds are some of the rarest species to find in Pokemon Go, and they’re difficult to catch. Trainers can only encounter them occasionally when using the Daily Adventure Incense, and many decide to use their Master Ball to catch them since their chances of fleeing are significantly high.

However, while the Master Ball guarantees any catch, it doesn’t guarantee you’ll get a powerful Pokemon. A Pokemon Go player realized this the hard way when they used their Master Ball on Galarian Moltres, but its IVs were almost null.

“I just used my masterball on this,” posted Reddit user ‘Taleri_,’ showcasing one of the worst possible outcomes in this scenario. One Pokemon Go player answered, “The game gave you three stubby middle fingers,” while another commented it’s definitely “one of a kind.”

“Actually 1/1/1 iv’s is pretty cool imo,” stated another Reddit user, and many agreed, as they call these catches “onedo.” For some, it’s as rare of a sight as a hundo.

While the OP won’t be able to get that Master Ball back, some trainers shared their advice to deal with their underwhelming Galarian Moltres. One player commented, “Lucky trade it,” and another agreed, and added: “Wait for a lucky trade with someone in the same boat. The number of 1 star mythics I have is depressing.”

Many players congratulated the OP for the catch, as getting even one of the three Galarian Birds is still a feat. However, another trainer commented they had the same thing happen to them: “I used one last night on a 0 star moltres too.”
