Lucky Pokemon Scarlet & Violet player has two unbelievable shiny encounters within seconds
The Pokemon CompanyShiny hunting is one of the toughest yet most rewarding activities in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as fans spend hours to find even one shiny, so when a player found two rare shinies in the luckiest ways imaginable, everyone was stunned.
After completing the Teal Mask DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, most fans are back to Paldea to hunt for shiny Pokemon to add to their collection.
But finding shinies in Gen 9 is more challenging than in previous games as the encounters don’t have the ‘shine chime’ that players are used to and some of them are found in the strangest of places.
But a player got extremely lucky during shiny hunting when a couple of shiny Cyclizar literally presented themselves out of the blue.
User ‘Aquamoth’ shared a post on Reddit that showed them catching two shiny Cyclizar in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet during a shiny hunting trip in the wild.
But it looks like the OP had a unique experience as these shinies were found in the most unusual ways, as the post read: “I’ve seen a post about this, but I never thought it would happen to me.”
At first, it appeared that there was no shiny Cyclizar in sight, only for one to run up to the OP seconds later, with a user calling it the “best jumpscare ever.”
The post also seemed to bust a certain rumor about shiny encounters, with one user replying, “Someone please send this to the moron that was trying to tell people shinies only spawn in front of you lmao.”
If this surprising encounter wasn’t enough already, the OP also spotted another shiny Cyclizar right after catching the first one. This second shiny appeared in the background of the Pokedex and most players could have easily missed it.
Some also seemed unaware of a Cyclizar outbreak in the game but a fellow player came to their rescue by adding: “Go to Casseroya Watchtower No. 1 and change your switch time until you get an outbreak.”
Though an outbreak certainly gives you more chances to find a shiny, getting encounters like the OP did is incredibly rare in the game.
