EA Sports ends partnership with FIFA

While some were shocked by the news of the eventual split between EA Sports and FIFA, others were hopeful about the future of the franchise due to the details EA shared in their announcement blog.
EA views this next step as a new era of the series that revolutionize the franchise, “this new independent platform will bring fresh opportunity – to innovate, create and evolve.” There’s no doubt that EA Sports will have more control over proceedings moving forward, which could very well lead to proper innovation in the football genre.
FIFA 23 will be the last collaboration between the two when it releases in the fall of 2022.
EA Sports FC game modes & licenses

EA confirmed that players will be able to play Volta, Career Mode, and Pro Clubs alongside Ultimate Team in EA Sports FC. We’ll keep you posted as new game modes might arise when more information comes to light.
Long-time FIFA fans will receive most of the content they’ve become accustomed to over the years including Ultimate Team and Career Mode. Given the success of Ultimate Team, it’s no surprise to see that EA plan to continue to deliver the fan-favorite mode.
If you were worried that the authenticity of EA Sports’ football franchise would take a hit without FIFA, you can rest assured that EA’s massive licensing portfolio will carry over to EA Sports FC.

The licensing portfolio includes rights to players, teams, leagues, and everything that contributes to steeping the game in realism, “Our unique licensing portfolio of more than 19,000+ players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30 leagues that we’ve continued to invest in for decades will still be there, uniquely in EA SPORTS FC.”
EA’s exclusive partnerships with the top leagues around the world like the Bundesliga, Premier League, and LaLiga means that EA Sports FC will be the only source of this authentic content. In addition, to teams and players, this also includes club competitions like the legendary Champions League.
