Modern Warfare 3 brings back plenty of features from 2009.

With this setting enabled, every landed shot will be met with the iconic hitmaker sound from Modern Warfare 2 (2009), which many fans will no doubt remember. The effect can be reverted back to the newer sound or turned off entirely at any time.

It’s worth noting that the hitmarker sound effects only appear in multiplayer, so you won’t be able to hear them while rattling through the campaign. Either way, this is still a nice nod to the original that many fans will appreciate.
