Warzone 2 players will receive the new DMZ Forward Operating Base feature with the Season 4 update, so let’s take a look at what to expect from the FOB in DMZ.

The Warzone 2 Season 4 update is arriving on June 14, and the devs have started to reveal the new content that is making its way to the battle royale. While most players are eager to test out the new Vondel map, major changes are also coming to DMZ.

DMZ fans are set to receive a major quality-of-life upgrade with the Forward Operating Base. Warzone 2‘s FOB is set to streamline the DMZ experience in Season 4, so let’s find out exactly what the new feature entails.

What is Warzone 2 DMZ Forward Operating Base?

According to the Warzone 2 Season 4 roadmap blog, the DMZ’s Forward Operating Base will act as a new menu for players to track their objectives and aim to secure valuable upgrades in the extraction mode.

The blog describes FOB as, “a more centralized hub for all communications and Operator upgrades within DMZ.”

DMZ players will be able to explore Vondel in Season 4.

The upgrades that players will be able to track using the FOB can be divided into four categories:

  • Stash: Wallet and Key Stash size increases
  • Bounty Board: For Exfil, Bartering recipes, and Buy Station discounts.
  • Weapons Locker: Insured and contraband armaments and upgrades.
  • Communications Station: Allowing Urgent Mission access.

There’s no telling what the objectives will entail yet, but the devs confirmed that the above upgrades are up for grabs. However, we do know that these upgrades are passive, meaning they do not need to be equipped to activate.

Urgent Missions are a new type of Faction-requested task. You can unlock these missions using the FOB and they act as quick challenges that offer players a great way to “earn Faction Reputation, unlock more Story Missions, thus giving Faction Missions even more agency.”

The FOB feature will debut in DMZ on June 14, so keep your eyes peeled for the new content. For more Warzone 2, check out some of our other guides:
