How to play Warzone 2 Private Matches

The Warzone 2 Season 2 update certainly delivered plenty of new content to the game. Not only can players explore the new weapons and new mechanics like the 1vs1 Gulag, but the devs also delivered the promised Private Match feature.
As of Season 2, Warzone 2 features Private Match functionality. While this may not be a huge interest to casual players, those looking to set up and host their own matches are in for some chaotic fun in Season 2.
Let’s get into how to play Warzone 2 Private Matches in Season 2.
How to start a Private Match in Warzone 2
- Launch Warzone 2.
- Head to the Warzone 2 Playlist menu.
- Scroll down until you see the Warzone Private Match option.
- Select Create Private Match.
- Choose between BR Solos, Duos, Trios, Quads, or Mini Royale.
- Choose your role between Join Squad, Join Random Squad, and Spectator.
- Take note of the Game Code in the Private Match lobby’s start match button.
- Send Game Code to invite players to the lobby.
- Start the Warzone 2 Private Match.
The Game Code is the key to getting players to join your Private Match in Warzone 2.In addition, if you’re looking to join a Warzone 2 Private Match that another player has already set up, you also have the option to do so. You must simply select the option to Join Private Match instead of Create Private Match.
Of course, the player who created the Private Match lobby will have to send you the Game Code, which you’ll input to join.
Starting or joining a Warzone 2 Private Match is as simple as that. The only thing getting in your way is finding enough players to start a Private Match in Warzone 2.
You’ll need at least 50 players in a lobby to start a Warzone 2 Private Match. The 50-player minimum pertains to all of the BR options.
As of now, Warzone 2 players can only take to Al Mazrah in Private Matches. The feature has only just arrived in Season 2, but it’ll be interesting to track if the devs add Ashika Island functionality later on.
