Best AK-47 class build in XDefiant

The AK-47 is one of the first Assault Rifles that you will be able to unlock in XDefiant, but you will have to level up the gun to unlock all attachments for its best loadout.

Although the weapon is one of the best in the game, in its stock form it has high recoil and isn’t accurate. So, to get the most out of this weapon, you’ll have to use attachments that improve the accuracy and reduce the weapon’s recoil.

Best AK-47 build attachments

• Barrel: Heavy Barrel – (Unlocks at weapon level 35)
• Front Rail: Pistol Grip – (Unlocks at weapon level 42)
• Optics: Reflex – (Unlocks at weapon level 2)
• Magazine: Fast Mag – (Unlocks at weapon level 41)
• Stock: Precision – (Unlocks at weapon level 16)

For the best AK-47 build, since our goal is to reduce the recoil and improve the accuracy, we’ll focus on using the Pistol Grip for the Front Rail, and the Precision Stock for the Stock.

For the Barrel, pick Heavy option, and for your Optics, use the Reflex Sights. You can also use the Holographic Sights for this weapon, but the latter will block your field of view, so you won’t be able to see if there’s an enemy on either of your flanks while aiming down the sights.

As for the Heavy Barrel, it’ll reduce your rate of fire by 2.5% but it’ll increase your overall damage output by 5%, which will make the weapon hit harder than before. Finally, go for the Fast Mag to reload your weapon quickly.

Best secondary & equipment

The best secondary to use with the AK-47 class in XDefiant is the M9, and you’ll want to use Frag Grenades for your equipment build.

The M9 doesn’t have incredible base damage, but it has 400 RPM and a 15-round magazine that makes up for it. Load it with a Heavy Grip and Reflex Sight, and it’s easily the best secondary weapon in the game and for an AK-47 class build.

Frag Grenades are great for clearing enemies out, especially for heavily contested objectives and map areas. It’s not the best device in the game, but it can help smoke enemies out from behind cover and make them vulnerable to the quick-fire capabilities of the AK-47.

Best Faction

The best faction to use the AK-47 would be Libertad or Phantoms because the former has the ability to heal themselves quicker, while the latter has a larger health pool, which will allow you to attempt slightly riskier engagements.

Although some would rather use the Cleaners, since you’ll be playing on mid to long-range with this weapon, you’ll lose out on some range because of their passive trait.

How to unlock AK-47

To get the AK-47 in XDefiant you’ll need to deal 4,000 damage with Assault Rifles, and since you get to start with the reliable M4A1, you’ll get that challenge done in no time.

After you’ve acquired the weapon, you will have to get the weapon to level 42 to unlock all the best attachments for it.

Best alternatives

The best alternative for the AK-47 in XDefiant is the ACR 6.8, which is currently one of the best weapons in the game.

In XDefiant Season 1, you will finally be able to use the AK-47 in the Ranked Modes and on the new maps and to an upper hand on the enemy.
